Good news for Freddie Starr. More loss of face for the CPS and their decision to publish the names of celebrities being investigated. I notice that the press continue to flog the fact that these cases are being investigated by Operation Yewtree, linking them to Savile and thereby intimating that the "victims" were underage.

I was shocked by the look of him on the news, he's aged 20yrs in the last 18 months. Not sure what the difference is in his case and that of DLT and Rolf Harris though...

'Starr had obtained an emergency injunction from the high court on Wednesday that banned ITV News, the BBC and several national newspapers, including the Guardian, from reporting the allegation. Mr Justice Tugendhat threw out the injunction at a hearing at the high court on Thursday afternoon'

'A mate of mine has said it wasn't only Jimmy Savile who did this, there's more to come out,

Seems like extraordinary lengths to go to if you've nothing to hide to me.

he should sue big time. this is where the law needs to be changed. anyone suspected or charged fora crime should not be made public. until they are found guilty.
The system now is your guilty until proved innocent and these celebs get ruined.

It's actually even worse than that for Celebs who find themselves at the end of a guilty verdict. Because their Celeb status is now classed as an aggravating factor in their prosecution so they can expect even harsher sentences if found guilty.

All the more reason to demand proper scintific evidence DNA etc... in any trial involving rape and not just the testimony of someone from 30 years ago.

This is way too long to be have to be in a position where you have no idea where the future is going.

I hope he can pick himself up from this, the sad thing is he is left with the negative publicity and no way of getting any redress for this long drawn out saga.

Good luck to him,I hope his health improves now too.
