It's happened before. I've just written a little bit about them. I tend to do that in every case anyway, write a couple of sentences and then get into quotes from other members.

They carry over into Round 2 but obviously Round 2 sees way more points being handed out; like you might pick up 20 nominations from 20 different people in Round 1 but then 2 people give you their 10 points in Round 2 and that's you reached the same amount; so while Round 1 gives a strong indication of who'll do well it doesn't really mean much

Re: the people who haven't picked up points yet - Round 1 scores don't get multiplied by 3 anymore so they have 9/8 points going into Round 2; the lowest was 6, so even if someone picked up 4 points from one set of votes in Round 2 they'd be clear of people who had 3 noms more than them in Round 1.

How would you know if the member was regular or not, Greg never mentioned anything like that he only mentioned he had discounted a set of votes..

And I disagree with your comment, if said member only logs in to vote in comps and polls then it's very questionable IMO.

:umm2: What a drama - it's nothing major at all, it was somebody who clearly hadn't read the rules, nominating I think 2 or 3 people who had opted out - if they'd read the OP properly and thought about their nominations then they wouldn't have done that, leading me to believe that someone had told them to nominate specific people and they'd just added in whichever few users they knew on the forum and obviously didn't read that those people had withdrawn. That's all.

Also I said in the OP that I wouldn't be counting incomplete Round 2 votes, such as those that didn't include 10 people, those that didn't include reasons and those that included people who weren't on the shortlist - because that's against the rules of the game that I've been running for 4 years and I wasn't going to chase people up to notice their own mistakes if they haven't taken the time to read the OP, that's all! Jeezo. Nothing major at all :laugh:
