what do you think it could connote?

Maybe each week housemates will fight for 'Power' e.g the right to nominate?
Or maybe each week a task winner will become like the head of house and be the only housemate allowed to nominate?

Suggestions please

I don't think it as anything to do with the series, I just think they used it so it could fit in with the theme of the advert

If it is used again in another advert then it could have something to do with the series

I would hate that. Not if you cum, knock yourself out ( ) but I do know what you want and I'd hate that.

Hopefully every week they fight for immunity and they bring back save and replace or introduce power of veto.

Probably just means something like Big Brother has the power over the housemates

It obviously means a housemate gets more power to nominate or become head of house ect which I think is laaaaaaame!

I wouldn't mind if only like 6 housemates get the power to nominate each week and they have to fight for a place or something.

Agreed.

Hate when any messing about with noms is done tbh.

I really think it's just to do with the eye tbh. :joker: the days of methophorical subtlety are long gone.

Maybe it means they're gonna power up the eleccy on Day 1, turn it off, whoever falls over and dies in the dark is the first to be evicted?

I like how BBAU did it last season. They have a comp, the winner gets the power to save and replace. Top 6 automatically go up and they used a 5 point between two nominations system. It worked pretty well.

I'm thinking right now it's to do with the eye(as I keep banging on about its a high tech eye) so at the moment it's to do with electronic charge. I don't think they will have come with a housemate connotation to it yet but I'm sure the producers may choose to decide to do a twist of one housemate gets the power to influence things. Therefore the power that drives the house. This housemate could be decided by public vote. However I don't reckon they have thought this far forward and at the moment it's simply to distinguish the the eye is in retrospective an electronic eye.

Was there ever metaphorical subtlety?

I wouldn't mind them using the BBAUS point system.

Power of housemates.

Head of house.

Housemates have the power of the house.

Housemate holds the power.

Who knows. I bet it'll be some kind of twist that involves a housemate having the upper hand though!

Marcus did say there was another over-arcing theme, ala secrets and lies.

Let's hope it's actually over-arcing then and not just half arsed for the first week.

I love how BBAU does the nominations. BBUK will probably give one person excessive power, based on some random nonsense/luck/winning a stupid task.

:amazed:
I doubt producers have george orwell in mind but if they did that would be amazing.

I actually forgot last season was called Secrets and Lies. Lol. I have a feeling the "power" thing will be over right after the first eviction.
