Since Viacom now own C5, this could mean advertising on MTV and other channels? I think if they advertise on other channels this year instead of just C5 then I think it will be a 3m+ launch.

We had a fantastic launch last year, with a great build up - everyone was stoked and thought it would go great in the ratings, only for it to be beaten by a bloody show about cats on BBC2 :joker:

Im hoping it'll be the biggest civillian launch on c5, so far thats bb13 with 2.93 (official) & since about half on january's series got over 3 million, i think its possssible that it might get something like 3.04? As long as it beats 2012 i'll be happy ;)

2.2-2.5m without advertising outside of C5. Advertising outside of C5 (on MTV and the likes), 3.0m.

It depends how they manage the lead up to the launch. If they get Emma and Rylan on the usual chatshows and get good mentions on other TV shows then I think the launch will do well. It's always hit and miss with C5's BB's though so who knows what will happen.

It was the lowest BB launch on Channel 5 to date.

Hopefully seeing how the ratings grew throughout the series and how well CBB did in January it can get up to 3 million but I cant see launch getting over 2.5 million personally.

They need to schedule it cleverly.

Channel 5 just made stupid decisions last year firstly by splitting the launch over 2 days and the second was putting an hour break in between the final and airing part 2 as pre recorded.

The series as a whole did very well but the threads about launch night ratings and that's what im referring to.
