I've Always wanted to know how dead artists still release new songs or features.
For example: Pacs Life ft TI and Ashanti, Tupac does the whole chorus with ashanti. Also with the new MJ song, did he record the somg before he died? I highly doubt it, so how do they do this?

when they're recording albums they make dozens of songs, which are cut down, these posthumous releases are just leftover tracks from various albums

That Guy
The person everyone loves to hate and never wants to become.
You're driving and get stuck in the middle of the intersection just as the light turns red. Now, because of you no one can get by. You have now become "That Guy".
:hmph:
It's crazy how much material some artists record that never sees the light of day

New to the General public
some recorded back in 1983 (Under Quincy Jones Production)
MJ did not want it released
but he is no longer here to stop that
New Jimi Hendrix CD's
still on their way to us
in his case because he would do 30 takes of a track to get it right
so if I use Take 2 its nothing like take 22.
Both MJ and Jimi
are under Sony.
Its normal when someone has Died.
Marvin Gaye was shot dead by his dad in 1984
but Tapes he did in London in 1980
were found by a musician
as tapes to be binned in LA
he sold them back to Universal/Motown
that came out on a 2 CD special
a few years back and now costs £300. (as they only did a 5,000 run)
Until Universal release the Complete Motown Box Set
in a few months

not to keen on the drudging for songs that happens when artist die. they still milk it years later. its fine if its fully developed songs but lot of it is just crap where they only use the original vocal and add music on it that the artist wouldn't of liked mostly. but depends who it is i guess , a lot of the ones gone weren't prolific writers or didn't write their own music so there isn't much to choose from thats any good.
you can lift any vocal anyway just look at elvis and the remixes
some artists the big songwriters record so many songs. for example springsteen writes 3 albums for every one he releases so if anything happend to him there would tons of quality releases for centuries .
same with lana del rey. so much music unreleased properly and good stuff.
