be grateful you're not me

got a new phone three weeks ago, a replacement to the previous phone which I lost. but this new phone was terrible, the memory card wasn't being detected at all. then I lost the phone a week later.

on Friday it was rly windy and something went in my eye which made my contact feel like a piece of glass stabbing my cornea so I had to take it out on the spot outside and it fell on the floor. spent 15 mins searching for it but I just couldn't find it, so i now need to replace that as well and it costs £70 for just that one lense as I wear rgp ones

the worst thing is this all happened in the last 7/8 days, the run up to my birthday

yeah I'm just gonna have to use some of that and money from my bursary.. No way I'm telling my parents lol. No the phone isn't insured :'(

so, turns out my travel card is lost too. my college is miles away and it takes a week or two for the replacement to come so I can't get there without it. and I have to conveniently be 18 now meaning I'm no longer eligible for a 16-18 Oyster card that gives me free bus travel, the 16-18 card I had already was processed when I was 17 and would have expired in September. So if they don't replace it with another 16-18 one and give me an adult oyster card, i' ll have to start paying for the bus. happy days :]

Nope they still won't let me. Even if you show them the letter saying it's being processed they'll refuse, loads of people used to that

I called them up and they told me they can give me a 16-18 travel card replacement, but apparently one was sent out to me a few months back but it didn't reach me (have no recollection of this) so I get this one for FREE. not only that, but this new card will expire in September 2015, meaning I get free bus travel when I shouldn't for an entire extra year :amazed::amazed::amazed:

also checked my bank account this morning and my bursary was paid in, and even better it was more than I expected. So I was able to put the deposit down for the replacement lense whilst having extra money to spend :D
