Lineker: Barkley Just Like Gazza

I mean Jesus ****ing christ.. Lineker has said he sees alot of things that gazza had, in barkley. Well I love barkley, tremendous talent. But this is what i talking about when it comes too english pundits/media.. Other media sources has also said 'He will bring Us close to the world cup" "He's the new gazza"

Barkley is 20 years old and this is hes first full season, why put so much pressure on such a young guy.. This was the case with rooney; in a way i feel really sorry for Rooney (who was also dubbed the new gazza hence the name wazza.. Guess that didnt turn out the wa they expected.). Rooney was never ever world beater like messi or ronaldo and he was expected to win us a ****ing world cup? And it turns out the guy hasnt scored in any of the world cups he's featured in:joker:

I do hope barkley doesn't turn out like that but thats what pressure like this does to a player. Just watch this world cup wayne rooney no expectation is on him and hes going to score at least twice.

In 2009-10 Rooney was at Ronaldo and Messi's level, Injury wrecked any chance of him taking his form into the World Cup.

People always seem to liken one person to another in whatever industry. Immediately applying pressure to them.
Like when some 18 year old is linked with a big club they're often dubbed the next Messi. :umm2:

Rooney was world class at 09/10 sure.
But he wasn't the third best in the world imo.

Can't think of anyone who deserved third more than him. Even Phil Thompson, Liverpool born and bred, thought he was actually better than Ronaldo and Messi at one stage of that campaign.

Those pair were in much better teams than he was. Rooney carried us that season.
