Thank god this series has a chance at being Brilliant

It says bb2014 at the bottom so is new
That means 3 or more up with the new nom rules, the entertaining ones will be saved :amazed:
I hope it means that, but I'm worried they might mean that literally people may vote to evict them instead of others because they would prefer to save them? Like, It might be just a weird wording? Hope it isnt though ;(
Didn't see the thing at the bottom
Daniel.

Nahh I doubt it, if it was evict they would surely put 'people will vote to evict you as they don't want to warch you'
Hoorah for vts with 3 or more up

They can always change it though by saying "BB can change the rules at anytime and anyway".
A phrase that our BB has used many, many times to justify all kinds of crap...

Sorry to be cynical but I could have typed that, printed it and written that there will be a pet elephant in the garden this year if I had wanted to.
Also I don't believe that filming them taking a **** has anything to do with health and safety as they don't do that in the Celebrity version.

It could mean however the public saved someone over you... So, they voted to evict you and saved someone else.

Do remember when Heaven lost to Aden in BB12, and when Tara lost to Bobby, Lucien, and Papman in CBB9.
It's still gonna be an uphill battle with the producers trying to get rid of the entertainers all the time but it is more doable with a VTS so hopefully we'll succeed more than fail.

The most popular housemate of last year would have had nothing to fear from vote to save.

I wouldn't say it was confirmed last year housemates had no idea it was vote to evict.

Why do people all of a sudden believe that VTE will automatically result in a sub-par series? BBs 3, 5, 6 and 7 seem to receive a lot of love on the forums, they used VTE. I mean, I only watched from 7 onwards so I can't really comment on the C4 era as a whole, but it does seem to be preferred by most BB fans, so it's strange that most viewers feel that way but, at the same time, claim VTE will ruin a series.
I mean, I personally don't mind either way, I'm fine with VTS or VTE.

VTS doesn't make a difference, it's a pointless debate.

Voting to evict another housemate is helping to save your favorite though. I'd say the wording is open to interpretation, although it would be great to have vote to save.

VTS is better as the fans of other HM's cant block vote out your favourite HM , only fans of each HM up for eviction can vote for them, a much fairer system....not perfect but certainly much better than the old very out dated voting system.

no, mainly the public will vote the people they don't like not save there favourite when they have got a chance to get rid of there most dislike housemate (which mainly is the most entertaining housemate)

They use vote to save for CBB so I wish they would at least keep the same voting format for all series.
Drives me mad when noms and voting are messed about with.
Vote to save really wouldn't have made a huge difference to the outcomes last year. Dexter would have gone first and Sophie would have gone instead of Dan. :idc:

Dexter going wouldn't have stopped Callim clinging onto Charlie - in fact it probably would have been much worse.
Soar Travers. Soar. Now toss me off. Toss.

Admittedly Sallie did go too soon, but she wouldn't have lasted much beyond the first week.
Popular cause they'd only known her a week. To be fair, once she stopped arguing with Gina her potential was lost IMO.

No.
Sallie was just an angry bitch, substance we'd seen from housemates years before her. Her eviction interview where she dissed the crowd was the only good thing she did.

It doesn't make a difference either way, housemates like Sam are hardly ever up for eviction so getting rid of them isn't easy. And last year was VTE and it was better than both the seasons that came before. We just need a good batch of housemates so that there isn't just one entertaining housemate that carries the whole show.

Sallie was a annoying mess. I wasn't rooting for her to go but her leaving wasn't devastating nor did it kill the show.

Dexter brought far more to the show than the silly love triangle thing, anyway there were other HM's who would have done the same thing, Sam tried it, so did Callum.

Dexter was nothing but an Aaron-lite (and if anyone knows me I'm saying this in a bad way, **** Aaron.) Like, the only positive thing about Dexter is that he could have been a lot worse than he actually was, which is only because he had zero power in the house (lolpwnt <3)

His stories, his funny one liners , the way he never let the B@stards get to him and remained decent throughout, if only the winner could have had that on his CV.

Blimey, you really hate good HM's dont you lol....I know, just because I like a HM doesn't make them good...but the ammount that HM gets discussed during that years series certainly does.
Most talked about on social media last year DEXTER, in BB12...Aaron....so they were brilliant HM's.

By that logic Jade Goody was the best ever in CBB5, the whole world was talking about her! amirite? (don't actually answer that because you're probably one of those people who thinks Shilpa had it coming)

Vote to Save + a power that lets a house guest picked someone to go up could be interesting, especially if everyone ends up competitive over the power. Strategically, people might end up putting up the dull ones they think can win if they slide by.

No, I supported Shilpa and wanted her to win, Jade Goody and her little chavy friends were disgusting...but you can hardly put Aaron and Dexter into that category, but like her or not Jade was a brilliant HM as she (in both her BB shows) gave a hell of lot to talk about.
You like "nice" or HM's that present themselves as nice in order to gain favour with the viewers, and that's fine, but they do tend to be very dull and hardly ever discussed, that makes for a bad TV show, don't forget, we are not supporting people who we want as our best mates (although sometimes we happen to like that HM too), or would want to take them home to meet our mums, we are supporting and voting on who we like as HM's , I do think some people get this show confused with a dating service or a form of gathering point for meeting new friends...this is a TV show and I want to be entertained.
Which is why I favour VTS as that (for the most part) gets rid of the nicey nice bland dead wood.

I'm not putting her in the game category, I'm just stating the flaw in your logic that how much a HM is talked about doesn't determine if they're good or bad. Like, Jade often conducted herself in really gross ways on both series. On CBB specifically, she was a bully and although she may not have been consciously racist, she made a lot of explicitly racist comments to the point where her intentions didn't matter. But by your logic, just because she was talked about she was brilliant? **** that. And just because Aaron and Dexter were talked about a lot doesn't make them brilliant. Aaron just whined in the bathroom and gave his girlfriend the could shoulder and Dexter just alternated between mastermind and wounded animal. That's not brilliance, that's anything but.
and lmfao at you thinking I like "nice" people just because I don't like Aaron or Dexter. Like, just going off my signature I wouldn't call Narinder, Sandy, Adele, Tim, Federico, Jason, Derek, Susie, Laura, Charlie, Sophia, Lisa, or Ben nice, and that's like 1/3 of the people in my signature. But nevertheless whenever someone disagrees with your opinions you think that they're not watching the show correctly, and if you're really going to criticize someone's viewing methodology, don't be rude. There's no rules as to how to watch reality TV and pick contestants to support. I support the people who I like watching and that's that. Obviously if a HM makes me nauseous and constantly wanting to X out of my live stream/youtube window I'm not going to want them around any longer. It's not hard to understand.

Point taken with your favourite HM's from the past, it's good to meet someone else that liked Sandy. ;) but you also assumed that I thought "Shilpa had it coming" in those horrible attacks from Jade, so maybe we both assumed wrongly.
Jade was mainly bad, in both shows she was on, but that doesn't mean she was a bad HM, she was talked about more than anyother HM in her year, including the top two and Alex who I supported, are you seriously telling me that HM's (no matter how they behave) who get talked about most on these forums and who cause the most interest aren't really good entertainment value and so aren't brilliant HM's?.
