Obviously we were all drawn to this forum because of Big Brother at some stage.

I'm glad we're back to shorter series. The 13 week ones always dragged themselves through the last 3-4 weeks.

The whole design aspect, The eye, the house, etc

I just find the whole concept absolutely fascinating. As many quirks and twists and gimmicks as you throw at it, you can't eradicate the core concept of the show - a group of complete strangers thrown together in a bizarre environment and how they interact.
The omnipresent figure of Big Brother is a great creation as well. I don't understand why the American format wouldn't captalise on that. "Hey, this is Alison" :wtf:
The theme tune, the opening titles, the fact that the eye is so important to the ahow's identity, the emotions that I feel every single season - it's just brilliant.

I've watched it since I was about 7/8 with my family. So I've grown up with it, I love it! Even through all of it's small faults, it's still a really great show. I watch it mainly for entertainment, not really keen on arguments and drama, but still love it. ;D

It can be if I like them, but if I dislike one of them then it just gets on my tits :umm2:

The social experiment side of it that was prominent in the beginning is what drew me to it in the first place.

I like to watch people to see how they react in certain environments and situations, I enjoy watching the way they interact closed off from everything, with people that have never known before and then seeing how they build friendships and enemies.

I also enjoy the tasks when they are actual decent tasks that has had some thought put into them.

It's a shame its not really about all that any more and more about the constant drama and arguing, oh and the dreaded showmances, I don't mind the odd argument it's what genuinely happens in reality but the constant bitching every day causes an awful atmosphere in there and its off putting IMO.

Entertainment is an individual preference...

Connecting with people you don't even know and gradually trying to figure them out.. going through the emotions over the weeks with the housemates themselves. One week the forum could love someone, the next week they could do something to completely ruin that.. its all the ups and downs along the way and trying to figure out which housemate/housemates you really like.

I'm not sure. I only caught BB11 by accident back in 2010 and got hooked. I think I'm fascinated by the idea of watching regular people just live inside a House and see how they react to certain situations. I'm just intrigued by the whole set up of the show.

Then there's the production side. I absolutely adore the Houses, the sets, the technical side of it all. I just find it all so fascinating.

I think its the only show that changes it Titles, eye and "Set" (house) each year

It's mostly been on as I've been growing up, and it was such a big thing back then, not saying it isn't now but Big Brother was a lot bigger in its Channel 4 days. I remember my mum actually calling home when we were in Tenerife to ask who who had won Big Brother 8.

It's unscripted and the plot can lead anywhere.

That's where it scores over other reality shows and over soaps.

I love to see people compete against each other, I also like to see how people who might be nice on the outside world behave so vicious because they are trapped in the Big Brother house 24/7 everyday.

The social experiment got me watching from the 1st episode & since then I've been totally hook to the programme, I like to watch how the HM's interact with each other, the arguments they have every series that can be totally blowing out of all proportion, & when people start to get evicted, how the dymanics change. I'm just a total addict of the shoe & never can see a time when I would stop watching it.

I also have been watching it growing up, My mum said I was sitting on her lap whilst she watched the launch  It's always been on in my house, my family used to be hooked but
Nowadays after the move to C5 They only usually watch the celeb ones and sometimes the normal ones, but I watch all of them.

When I first started watching it I liked it because of the evilness of nominations and evictions. Nowadays that bores me. The reason I love it now is because of my perception and everyone else's perception of a particular housemate. Someone that at the start is hated can go on a personal journey and learn from the house and come out as a very different person who is likeable and popular. As the series goes on you can hear the publics view of the housemate change when their name is called on eviction nights. They can go from being booed to being cheered at the end. I find that their are always two or three housemates I dislike at the start of a series who go into the final and by that point I like them and want them to win. The most recent housemates that I had this reaction to was dexter and Gina in the civilian and Luisa and dappy in the cbb. Even so they don't always end up winning but become popular with the public, a boring housemate seems to go on to win though. In fact there has only been one housemate that I want to win, actually win and that was bb10 Sophie! Of course I do like it when it goes the opposite way round to this and a housemate popular at the start ends up showing their true colours and everybody wants them out. Wolfie springs to mind

I've always really loved competition reality shows. I'm Canadian and the ones I had growing up that were my favourites were America's Next Top Model, So You Think You Can Dance, American Idol (a little bit), but for some reason I never enjoyed the US Big Brother or Survivor, which were 2 of the most popular competition shows on television. In general with all CBS shows, they just feel so fabricated and dumbed down. I did watch the Big Brother season where Rachel won but I haven't watched it since, and this season I'm watching Survivor for basically the first time and I'm enjoying it a lot, but anyways. I discovered BBUK during the first weeks of BB11. Back when they used to upload minute long clips of evictions with the housemate just walking up the stairs, I saw the clip of Rachael's eviction and I was instantly drawn to the set, premise and how real and raw the whole thing felt. When I started to really get obsessed with the show and the history I was gutted to learn that it was to be the last series. After that I watched a lot of past series, learned a lot about the history of the show, etc. And here we are. I didn't watch all of BB12 or BB13 just because they were a bit weak for me. But anyways I love BB because I find the way we interact as humans together in a tense environment just fascinating. I love the brand and the eye and the houses and how original and unique it feels compared to US shows. I love the drama and the booing when somebody is evicted.

Yeah just everything, at least when it is done right can be so captivating.
