Don't think this series will rate too well on the overnights due to the World Cup. Saw a similar theme in 2012 with the Euros and Olympics when we had some horror ratings like -
Big Brother falling to an all-time low of 614k (1.9%) on Channel 5 between 9pm and 10.30pm during the opening ceremony
Setting a new all-time low for the third time in the series, the penultimate episode of Channel 5's Big Brother took 483k (1.5%) during the closing ceremony.
This series will only be successful if people watch on catch up!

I doubt the catladies will be watching the football though
BB11 did well with the World cup on tbh
and most likely don't clash because isn't football on at like midday

Should also be noted that the first rating (614K - Caroline's eviction) actually did really well compared to the other channels; BB held on to the most viewers compared with One Born Every Minute etc

Will the World Cup and BB cross paths in the schedules?
Does it normally run until that late in the evening?

Caroline's eviction and the HL ep was probably the best of the wholse series aswell, what poor timing :umm2:

Normally BB is okay with the world cup timing-wise, it's penalties which ****s it over
Most world cup games will be kicking off between 5pm and 11pm with quite a few at 8pm and 9pm, so there's gonna definitely be some overlap
how long does a game last

how long does a game last
20 seconds
how long does a game last
Will normally take about 2 hours everything considered
The Olympics were really what gave the show trouble for BB13. Plus it was because it was over here as well.

The first clash will be the first game- Brazil v Croatia at 9pm on the second Thursday
Looking at 2010 as a guide...
ITV secured a predictably commanding share during the day as 4.3 million viewers tuned in to witness the stalemate between hosts South Africa and a strong Mexico side – a 46% audience share on average, with a 50% share tuning in for the 3pm kickoff.
While BBC One had secured the 7:30pm fixture and attracted an average of more than 7 million viewers during the match
Considering it's at 9pm I'd imagine the first game will get 7m+ against BB
I despise the football. It messes with I'm a celeb every year as well. :bored:

If my girl was around my yard, and big brother is on and world cup is also on.. Erm im sure im not the only household that will be watching the world cup
But depends whos playing tbh.
Worth remembering though that the BB13 series average was up on BB12 despite the Olympics.
You never know, C5 might even buy some ad space during ITV's World Cup coverage

The World Cup in 2010 had earlier kick off times which didn't collide with BB, this years kick off times will.

1) people will watch on catchup
2) there is +1
3) it gets repeated the next day

BB3 was on during the world cup and is the highest rated series to date.
I think they're pretty much 2 separate audiences.
I am however expecting Channel 5 to swap the time slots around it a lot though which to me will be the main problem.
