A couple were (ironically) less than amused after discovering their McDonald’s burgers had been laced with cannabis.

When pregnant Brittany Songer, her fiancé Cory Long and her two-year-old son went to their local McDonald’s in Ottumwa, Iowa, they were hoping for that good ol’ taste we all know and (against our better judgement) love.
But when they bit into their McDoubles (or McDoobies as it turned out) they tasted a little… unusual.
Songer, 23, told the Ottumwa Evening Post: ‘It tasted bad, and I thought maybe it was because he had cologne on his hands when he bit it. Then I opened the burger and the cheese was just covered with weed.’
The couple were so outraged at this added extra that they took their burgers down to the local police station for further investigation.
Lt. Jason Bell told the Des Moines Register: ‘It appeared to be something that may have been intentionally placed on the burger and by who is part of the investigation. We are trying to determine who actually put it on there.’
You may be surprised to hear this isn’t the first marijuana-meets-burger incident to have occurred in the US.
In December 2013 Wendy’s employee Amy Seiber was arrested after a customer found a half-smoked blunt inside her burger.
