It didn't say anything about the owners being English. It says "with English meals".

Not a racist banner.

Agree, although I have to question why it was important to mention the nationality of the owners.

Probably to let people know they'd be getting proper fish and chips. Not dodgy kebab shop fish and chips which are usually run by Asian owners.

I've had some pretty 'dodgy' and greasy fish and chips from 'English' takeaways.

I don't think its racist really..its no different to having a sign outside say..an Italian restaurant stating that its run by Italians and therefor is proper authentic Italian food or something

The fact that they refused to sell black pudding but had white pudding on special offer has been missed?

That's not racist. Another example of the racist card being abused.

I do not see how this could be racist.

I thought the "Fish Supper" was invented by the Scots ?
