I know the owner of this steel band and they were unaware of the fact they were playing for UKIP. Here's his official statement:

For anybody who has heard any news about Endurance in regards to the Ukip Party demonstration taking place in Croydon today, we WERE NOT supporting the event.

We were led to believe that we were performing in the streets for an event taking place at "Allders", Croydon North end. At no point were we made aware that we were performing for the UKIP Political party, nor do we share similar views as an Organistion.

We did not accept any payment for today's proceedings.

Hes a good friend of my best friends and probably one of the nicest people ive ever met so please do not think badly of him or his achievement with his band thus far.
