What needs to be done and so you believe that gun control will stop the madness in the States?

There has not been a school shooting in the UK since 1996 (thank goodness)

when we tightened our gun laws

The USA will never give up their 2nd Amendment. They see it as their right and one of their freedoms and they deny it's an outdated idea. Despite the fact when this Amendment was formed, it was still legal to keep slaves.

Yeah I agree with Livia, shame though, it's madness how they're all allowed to walk around armed like that. As for Marcs comment, whilst I agree with you on the one hand, i don't for example imagine that something like that case where that vigilante neighourhood watch guy shot that 19 year old black kid would have happened if he wasn't allowed carry a gun

90% of the people want stricter gun controls, and protections put in place. Unfortunately the NRA pays too many politicians, too much money to make sure that never happens.

Exactly.

Nice to see you, My Lord.

He would've found another way to kill Travon, He could've used a knife or used the concrete to bash his skull open.

As for the 2nd amendment thing,

It will never go away, if you try remove guns, You would see a civil war in the states trust me.

I think that's true. And so gun crime and mass shootings will just carry on forever.

Do you think so? I don't, I think a gun makes a person feel braver then actually having to have a physical altercation

He wouldn't have been following a 6'3" guy home, hoping he could could find some loose concrete in case he got in trouble.

It's not all or nothing. That area between no guns, and arm yourselves with assault rifles, is pretty massive.

all they need to do is do strict penalties for anyone with a gun. problem solved. the problem is the whole right to carry arms nonsense which would be fine if its ww3 but its not. no need for guns. some still think its the wild west and its becoming that on the streets .
it should be stopped as it is carrying on over here more and more.

I'm not too bothered about American gun control as long as the culture doesn't start coming over here. We've all ready got kids shooting each other over post codes thinking they're in Compton.

I mean the concrete ground.

I mean the concrete ground.

You think he would have been as likely to tackle him with his bare hands then? I seriously doubt it, with a gun he doesn't need any kind of physical contact, with a knife or pushing him down to the ground he would have. Besides me thinking that he wouldn't have been as quick to tackle him that way even if he had Trayvon would have had a much better chance of coming out alive if the gun was missing from the equation

I thnk there will still be gun crime even if you do take away guns... People will always be able to get them. Just look at London

I'm all for much stricter restrictions though.

The US government could'nt enforce a firearm ban without a civil war,I don't think any president would want to pull the trigger on that.

I don't know, it's crazy. I'm very anti-gun but most people I know will lose their **** if you even mention the smallest of gun restrictions. I didn't even think my state had open carry (maybe they don't) but when I worked at a grocery store a guy used to come in with his gun in its holster and it was very uncomfortable.

True but they have a much smaller chance of committing mass murder with other weapons.

i agree. it would take a really long time to even weed a lot of it out. i dont even like holding a gun. i held a unloaded hand gun once and i just didnt like the feeling at all. made me nervous as ****.
