View Full Version : Do housemates still get interviewed...
before they enter the house? I can't find any launch night clips for Big Brother 14, I caught a few when Brian was presenting, the housemate would come out of the studio and would have an interview with Brian before entering the house, does Emma still do this or do we watch the housemate's VT and watch them walk onto the runway and up into the house like Davina did?
I'm only asking because Emma seems to have brought some things back that Davina did (like the awesome interviews and the house tour) and I preferred watching the housemate make their way in as Davina told us some information about them.

Unfortunately they do.
I wouldn't even call it an interview, they only exchange a few awkward words don't they?

All it is is them standing in the wrong position on the catwalk and them shouting to their friends in the crowd- not really an interview as Josy said

Yeah, it's really pointless.
I wouldn't mind the show starting and the housemates have already moved in.
Then Emma can just go through each housemate, showing their VT etc.

Ah I like them walking up the stairs and that, don' really care what they have to say though because they are mostly full of launch night nerves and talking gibberish anyway, plus it all feels a bit awkward.
So they're having a last look at their friends/family and not paying attention to Emma?

It's just a very quick brief few questions.

It's probably because I've been watching some BB2 youtube videos and the "launch" for that was basically the first highlights show when they'd already moved in first thing in the morning with no song and dance.

Pretty much! You get the first minute of Emma trying to get them to pay attention to her and stop waving at friends/family, then Emma asks one question that either isn't answered or the housemate comes out with some irrelevant crap; then they enter the house.
It's a very pointless part of the launch shows. Wish they'd get rid of it and just let the housemate walk straight in!

Yeah, it usually consists of 30 seconds of state the obvious "How are you feeling?" "Are you excited?" etc etc.

She should just read some information about them from the sidelines as the cameras follow the housemate out of the eye, across the runway and up the stairs.

No pop music would be a start for me.
But I suppose in that enclosed space it would be a little awkward without it these days.

Found a clip of last years 2nd live launch, so you can decide for yourself :).

Thanks so much for that! :D
Hmm, I like it. I wish Emma would say the facts instead of Marcus as the housemate walks up the stairs, it sounds a bit weird.
