View Full Version : Re watching this, fabulous!
The first time I watched it I thought it was one of the most overrated series' of Big Brother, but I'm re watching it (on Day 3) and it's possibly one of the best! There was a perfect blend of characteristics, I don't think any housemate was bland, some fade into the background but I think that they'll improve over time. Makosi deserved to win Ultimate Big Brother, Ultimate Big Brother housemate for me! I love Lesley as well, hated her last time. I love how Kemal stood up to Science and stands up for himself, when Science was having that rant over salad cream Craig was scared, but Kemal stood up to him and I'm happy about that. Maxwell is a bit of a c*ck however.

1. Makosi
2. Kemal

That's what I love as well. Day 3 there's been tons of arguments already, Kemal vs. Science, Makosi vs. Mary, Makosi vs. Roberto, Makosi vs. Maxwell (Lights), Makosi vs. Maxwell (When he thought she was slagging him off in The Loft), but they're still having fun and it feels fun. Like Makosi and Maxwell are sitting in The Loft having a laugh just a few moments after they were shouting at each other.

I have to say, I totally read the thread title in Kemal's voice in my head, what with his love of branding everything "fabulous, divas!". :D
Watching has had to slow down due to me being busy but I recently watched Mary's eviction, she really was robbed. She was compelling to watch in my opinion and I would have loved to see how the series would have played out if she'd have stayed and Craig had gone. We wouldn't have had Craig's random outbursts of anguish at being ignored by everybody, and Mary would have slowly clashed with every single person in the house. I'd also like to know what Roberto's obsession was with Mary, he seemed to love her even when she was being absolutely vile to him. I think in the episode before her eviction they're arguing but he's helping her make her bed at the same time.
The only time I ever found Saskia remotely interesting was when she confronted Mary in Day 5. I think that Mary was very bitchy to slag Saskia off when Saskia sat with her on launch night when she felt very low and Saskia had some great points. However, I haven't watched the rest of the series in years beyond Day 7 due to my rewatch grinding to a halt so Saskia may have her random moments of being interesting.

Who you liking/disliking dudee?
I'm up to almost the end of Week 3 now (yes, already! I've not had much to do this weekend :D), and my most consistent favourite has been Kemal. He's annoyed me on occasion, but I expected nothing less. :D
Surprisingly, I don't strongly dislike anyone. There are ones who I like less than others / feel annoyed by more often, but even they show sides that I like. My most consistent least favourites right now are Anthony and Maxwell, though. If I'd watched it nightly at the time, my negative feelings would have probably been stronger, but it's easier to let things go when you're speeding through them, especially when the stuff happened 9 years ago! :D
Oh, and I just heard my favourite piece of Marcus narration ever: "1:31am. Derek is putting on women's clothes in the bedroom". :joker:
I'm really enjoying this series, though. Not a boring episode has passed, yet. It's highly dramatic and highly hilarious in equal measure, I've found. I can go from hating someone, to finding them very funny, then perhaps back and forth again. It's a great ride. :)

I knew this divide would happen from all I'd heard before watching, but I kept my opinions on the housemates in the here-and-how, judging them accordingly with the point I was up to.
Anyway, my opinion on Saskia has definitely (as I expected) changed. In the first couple of weeks, I actually liked her. She seemed like one of the more level-headed housemates. Since becoming attached to Maxwell, she's become pretty hard to support. The way she was on her feet in hysterics as Maxwell was telling Craig about how he (supposedly) sprinkled a scab into Science's food!
I think (as some in the house have speculated) that Maxwell and Saskia are having a massive ego trip after both getting big cheers in Week 2. In their minds, they probably think they're the big power couple with the public, Roberto recently being evicted and booed probably cemented this. So, knowing they're actually the next two to go is quite nice. :D
So yeah, the foursome of Maxwell, Saskia, Anthony and Craig aren't a group I'm loving. Shame he wins. I did like Anthony when he stuck up for Kemal after Science threw water in his face, that was really decent, but other than that I'm not a big fan, I have to say.

Oh is that what the argument with Saskia was about when she insulted her wig? Because she'd given them all to the Gardeners but pretended she just had them?
:laugh2: I love BB6.
They made the most out of each twist too, it added so much to the series.
Daniel.

So your liking the Makosi, Kemal, Vanessa, Derek group?
They are a pretty bitchy group but way more interesting than Saskia's gang....

Very much so. :worship:
Vanessa annoyed me in the early weeks, how she sucked up to Craig and Lesley (I'm sure she only hated Sam because they did), but I like this group as a whole for opposing the other four, and she's part of it, so I guess she's on the right side of me for the moment. :D
Though, looking at the nomination history online, it looks like things may change in a few weeks. I already knew that Makosi and Kemal ended up as enemies, but I'm not liking the idea. :nono: Oh well, they got Saskia and Maxwell out first.
Daniel.

Makosi's reasons for nominationg Saskia too  because of the wig and teeth comment not the aggression

Vanessa is the most underrated housemate of all time.
Yeah, they all turn against eachother in the later weeks and you see that groups bitchier side, hope that wasn't too much of a spoiler. BB6 never ever gets dull though and Team Makosi is my favourite BB group  ..

What did she say about her teeth?
Daniel.
03-06-2014, 05:19 PM
That her breath stunk and Makosi nominated her because she spends a lot of money on her teeth or someting and was going on about it and saying how her teeth and hair was the most important thing
Ic it was funny considering it came after cidergate when the better reasons would be aggression or something idc.

I'm onto the nominations now. Kemal talking about Saskia, Maxwell, Anthony and Craig: "She has put a leash around their necks, and she is taking these bitches for a walk in the park". :joker:
EDIT: Just seen the Makosi moment you're talking about. "She attacked the most important thing in my life at the moment, my afro".
Marsh.
03-06-2014, 05:35 PM
 I loved that about Makosi.
Completely crazy and if any other housemate had her traits I'd hate them but I just could never hate her.
Even when her desperate attempt at something with the "pregnancy" was a flop.
Daniel.
03-06-2014, 05:37 PM
How epic was cidergate though?
Makosi >> all other BB housemates
I wonde if she did think she was pregnant though

Craig > any other BB6 housemate
Lostie!
03-06-2014, 06:08 PM
Craig is so fickle.
After Sam said she didn't think she was going to go in Week 2, Craig couldn't wait to have a little gossip with Derek about how bad that was. Saskia just said she thinks she'll go against Maxwell, but "only because they don't have any choice", and even says she thinks Craig is more unpopular than Maxwell ... and he's fine with that?

But that's why he was an amazing housemate.
His delusions, bitchiness and fixations on certain matters made great viewing.

Is it obvious Craig fancies Anthony yet?
He's probably the biggest trainwreck housemate ever in the second half

Yeah, that's becoming apparent now. Eugene wearing Anthony's clothes gave Craig the chance to tell us how they make Anthony "look like a male model". :joker:

So I've thankfully been able to carry on the series, and bunny boiler Craig has officially arrived. Having a meltdown because Anthony offered to suck Kemal's fingers for his booze.
"He'd do it because he'd enjoy it, I'd do it for a laugh." Suuuure you wouldn't enjoy it, Craigey...

Oh my word, Eugene is SO BAD at lying!
BB: Would one housemate come to the Diary Room?
*Eugene goes / gets secret mission*
Makosi: What did they say?
Eugene: Oh, just a problem with my microphone.
Makosi: But they said "Would one housemate come to the Diary Room?"
Eugene: Oh ... right...

My favourite Eugene moment was when he got angry at Kinga, but only after she left the room. :joker:
He just had his own private rant in the bedroom. And when she'd just randomly sing and then throw herself sexually all over him whilst he silent waited for her to finish.

Okay, I'm a tad confused about a little kerfuffle that just occurred. I'm near the end of Week 7, the week Big Brother told lies about nominations. Makosi and Vanessa are wary of Kemal because he chose to nominate while they didn't, and Kemal said that he'd explain eventually why, and that they (and Orlaith) are his friends.
Anyway, Orlaith suddenly breaks into an angry-sounding rant about how friends can be bitchy (and mentions a friend who kissed her ex), then talks about how they're all there to play a game, which caused Makosi to get uppety and break into a rant about how they can't change the winner, who has already been decided by God.
So, my question is ... where did all that come from? :joker:
I mean, "friends can be bitchy" and going on about the "game" seems like a dig at Kemal for saying they are his friends, but emphasising the game seems to kind of defend Kemal's right to make his own decisions. And what exactly was she getting at by pointing out bitchy friends after he called them three his "friends"? She seems to have been fine being friends with them generally so far. (K, the word "friends" is starting ti sound weird now. :D)
It's weird, she just seemed to get angry out of nowhere, and the little row between her and Makosi seemed pretty irrelevant to the conversation they were having with Kemal in the first place. Have I missed something? :D
Daniel.
06-06-2014, 06:35 PM
Kemal said he couldn't tell them because he nominated Makosi and because he thinks Makosi is a mole leading to the bitching from Makosi and Vanessa as to why he wont tell them.
Orlaith said that because they had been bitching about Kemal then when he came to the loft were nice to his face, but then Kemal thinks Orlaith is trying to come between him and Makosi and Makosi just kinda plays with them both(obviously trying to get them to nom each other so she is avoids them) agreeing with Kemal about Orlaith and Orlaith about Kemal and letting him think he's a mole leading to loads of paranoia about everyone.
Marsh.
06-06-2014, 06:40 PM
That sounds right, I remember Orlaith having a bit of a meltdown about the two faced bitching.

That's true. I can't watch many, I watched 2 episodes of BB6 yesterday but I'm going to stop until the summer and re-watch from the beginning because of BB15.
