Are there any changes that you'd like to see in the show this year? I know that I'd like a new outdoor set (like that's going to happen now), as well as a new BOTS set design and also less involvement from Marcus. Watching this clip of Dappy leaving in 2nd in January just really reminded me how much he makes the evictions unwatchable for me (skip to about 2:03). So yeah, less involvement from him in the evictions and launch/final shows please.

Last year I would have said the outside stage area, but for me, I think the eye stage is slowly becoming iconic to the show. I think the reason why people are wanting change is because every year in the C4 era, the staging would change.
However, other shows such as X factor, The voice, Jungle etc don't really change the main stage or set and they become icons of the show. The stage of BB now is recognisable, and I'm pretty sure that if you showed a picture of the set to someone who doesn't watch Big Brother, they'd be able to identify the show.

I really agree about Marcus' involvement on eviction / finale nights. I'm tired of him screaming into the House. Take it back to the days when a BB voice would do the announcement, please! This isn't a dig at Marcus, he's fine when he's reigned in, but he never is when doing these announcements. Also, even if he was less OTT for them, I still wouldn't love it. It really makes little sense for anyone other than BB to do it.
Compare with the typical C4 eviction (from around 2:17 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6chF4bF4QI ).
Other changes I'd make that hark back to earlier series:
* Having the housemates all gather in the living area during nominations.
* Go back to the format of the C4 end-of-series montage. They'd show events on a week by week basis (ending each with the eviction and a fade out), and they were accompanied by a nostalgic, emotional song. Nowadays, we usually get a random mish-mash of events (with tacky on-screen subtitles, "LOVE!", "ARGUMENTS!"), and different songs, usually dance music. BB14 remedied this to an extent, it felt much more like the old style ones, but from what I remember CBB13 returned to C5 form.

Improvements for me would be:
-Get rid of the studio right next to the house and have the housemates arrive in cars again. Have a studio built across the lot which gives them enough time to get there through the break for eviction, I hate the studio where it is and hate the housemates coming out of the eye.
-No interview from Emma before they go in. Just walking across the runway (if there has to be one) with a song being played and have Emma tell us a few facts about them as they walk up the stairs, NOT Marcus.
- Big Brother voice for evictions. I love the '10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 ___ YOU HAVE BEEN EVICTED, PLEASE LEAVE THE BIG BROTHER HOUSE', I don't like Marcus doing it.

I agree with this. I was also watching BB 4 last night, and in 2003 they brought in the HMs with just the press and a few of their family and friends present to say goodbye. I like the idea of not bringing them in to immediate cheers or boos. As it is, they give them an idea of whether the video introduction has made them liked or hated (or prompted a "meh"). I don't like encouraging the HMs to change their personality right off the bat or getting them arrogant.
No more twins! BBs seem to cast twins, either as individuals or together, an awful lot. I liked twin BBCAN1's Alec (though not his pal Peter, ugh), but a lot of the twins they cast (especially as a pair, to be fair) seem insufferable.
I'd like an end to having the HMs not eat semi-decently. Hungry HMs lack energy and are boring.

Editing style. Make it so daily dr interviews are compulsory for all housemates more detailed and used to narrate(less Marcus) and show housemates internal thoughts in the episode.
Absolutely zero contact with the outside world.

The removal of names on screen, reminding us who each person is- it's too MIC or TOWIE!!! If they aren't willing to allow this change, maybe either scrap them after week 1 (when we know their names), or after the first advert break. I mean even the housemates are getting access to tablets, almost everyone has access to the internet, if the suddenly forget a hm name and MUST find it immediately!! I just don't know how we coped back in the C4 days, when we never had names on screen!!

It results in mindless Geordie Shore like crap. On US reality shows it amounts to us watching an event unfold then watching someone describe what we just saw.
They started to bring that in during BB14 with a housemate explaining a task instead of simply letting us watch.

A likeable cast.
They almost can't go wrong with a good cast, and nothing can be done with a bad one. Unfortunately, they seem to be headed further in the wrong direction with their casting choices.

• as someone has mentioned, a decent series best bits.
• Bring back the Live Saturday Night Challenge with decreases in prize money if they fail
• increase the prize fund from £100,000 to £250,000 or more.

As mentioned, hungry housemates are lethargic and boring, and also, it's quite funny when they put on a gait but of weight and then get all upset about it... :D.
Just decent food with an unlimited budget though, not treat foods (chocolate, crisps, take aways etc.), cigarettes, or other non - food items. Those should have a separate budget based on the task. With a possibility of zero.
Also less alcohol. It seemed unlimited last year, but then they get used to it. If it's a very rare occasion that they're allowed much... That's when the **** REALLY flies. I'm still looking for BB5 fight Night Round two, but it doesn't look like it'll ever come!

Nothing will ever surpass BB5 Fight Night unfortunately (some people think BB9's 'fight night' did, it was barely a fight, someone spat in someone else's face), and it wasn't down to alcohol at all. It was down to Emma and Michelle coming back from the bedsit having known Victor and Jason had a game plan and Marko being a little **** towards Jason when he asked him to clean up the food fight. (Even though I hate Jason and Victor). :(

Ahh yes, I've been saying increase the prize fund (significantly) for years. Many of them genuinely aren't that bothered about winning now because, whilst 100k is a lot of money, it's not MASSIVE, especially to older housemates who already have / have had a career, own a house, etc.
Obviously they'd all like it but no one is so desperate for it that they really fight to win like they used to. I think 250 or even 500k if possible would really prompt dollar signs in their eyes...
If money was no object - I'd start the prize fund at £1 million and have the tasks be focused on not letting it drop. On the final week have a massive task that could potentially drop the prize to zero, and watch the ones who are sure they won't win trying to wreck it... Muahaha...

think they done agood job there's only one thing i really want changed which is eviction/live shows , just give us the hour show then do the live segement. i really hate it when they show abit go to advert talk crap show bit more go to advert and so on. and tell us who's up. etc i just want to watch the show first
I agree about the best bits. Just watched BB14's best bits on YouTube, I preferred the ones with the sad music on Channel 4. Channel 4's best bits made me emotional but if I'd have watched BB14 I doubt they would have made me emotional.

Get rid of the nametags. Fair enough for episode one but stop.
No musical montages. It feels cheap.
Bring back the inventiveness to the opening titles.
Less 'silly' tasks.
Emma is kept away from the crowds when speaking live to the house

Agree with some things said. Marcus toning would be an easy thing to do and please a lot of us. Getting a BB voice to do the "You have been evicted, please leave the.." would be nice too. Not like it costs them anything. Someone being Big Brother is around 24/7 so it would be very easy to get a voiceover done for evictions. Tougher punishments I agree with too, locking people behind bars for 2 hours is not a punishment...

Oh, one I forgot to mention: Less finalists. I don't really love having more than 4, to be honest. It's not a huge thing, but BB14, for example, irritated me with how, from Week 6 onwards (the entire second half of the series), there were less evictions than finalists. I feel it should be the other way around.
I like how BB Australia never has more than 3 finalists. As late as the penultimate week, at least half of the housemates are evicted before the finale. Last year, there were 6 left in the penultimate week: one left that week, and another two 5 days later (two days before the finale), leaving 3 for the finale.
Then again, at least they've never repeated that awful decision from CBB8, to evict only 3 out of the 10 housemates. :eek:

Anyone who claims the BB9 one was better clearly didn't see the BB5 fight live :shocked:. So much was cut from the HL show and never shown again... so much of that glorious brawl, lost forever! :joker:

Exactly, we never actually knew what made security come in because the camera panned away from the bathroom when Nadia/Vanessa were arguing, some presumed one slapped the other but it was never confirmed. And so much from Emma/Victor and Jason/Nadia/Marko was cut as well. It's strange that the footage won't ever be found now, I'm presuming they discarded it.

I miss this punishment i can remember a few years back i think 2009 when all the housmates apart from one was put up for eviction because of rule breaking

No more face to face noms. It's no longer an effective twist, just like secret rooms, they're expecting them all.
I'd quite like Emma to enter the house to meet the winner. Just a simple thing, I don't think it's been done since about BB3 or BB4 but I liked that.

Contestants don't narrate the action on Come Dine with Me, they have a narrator.
I'm talking about the parts where they do eg A and B are snooping through C's room.. A in their interview- "so me and B go in to C's room and start looking though the draws"....
I'm not saying they should do it all the time, it's just a nice way to show what a housemate is thinking when they do/say something.
Pits just an idea I'm not that fussed about it tbh.

i agree face to face noms are really hit and miss. i hate it when they make stupid stuff up and joke about it. even when it gets heated some will puss out on who they really wanna nom and just play sheep.
