With only 6 (EEK) days to go now until BB is back on our screens I thought it would be interesting to see what Channel 5 are doing campaign wise and people thoughts (which are usually very negative).
So promotion:
-Full page spread in The Sun newspaper (actual paper not online)
-A spread in Heat magazine.
-Advert aired twice on ITV (during midsomer murders and I wanna say Tipping Point??)
-Advert aired on Comedy Central
-Advert aired on 4OD
-Emma appeared on The Paul O Grady show today to talk about the show
-The usual rounds of interviews printed in Daily star, Mirror, Mail online.
Personally I think they aren't doing to bad, billboards would have been epic but next week I reckon they will be showing the ads pretty much constantly on Comendy Centreal, MTV and they will defo slip some in to ITV/Channel 4 I bet.
Thoughts?
Overall they've done pretty well for themselves. It's weird how in a few weeks we can go from knowing nothing to knowing the theme, the eye and having all this promotion. This time last month we were clueless if I'm right in saying?

They've done much better than last year, after the success of CBB13 they seemed to have gotte their arses into gear

Decent, people are moaning because under C5 we've been spoiled.
They've done better than last year, is Emma on any shows this week or next week

I've tweeted her about it, I don't think I'll get a reply though due to the time.

Well I hope people tune in to see what's new, I really enjoyed last years series and I know I will this time round. It feels so much better than a few years back.
I have it set to record most of the series :elephant:
I'd like to see more adverts shown. We have the countdown ads every day now, although I had Channel 5 on for most of the afternoon and didn't say the 6 days advert?

A simple "6 days to go" banner in the top left hand corner of the screen then counts down to launch would be the most simple yet effective way of advertising BB.
Why don't they do that? Seems a bit retarded not to when its their biggest show and its 24/7 free advertisement.

I remember when E4 used to have banners in the top left "Big Brother Starts Tonight" etc. :flutter:

This is a really good idea! Yeah E4 did it, I think on an old Hollyoaks clip I watched the other day there was 'Big Brother' in the top corner underneath the E4 sign.
