View Full Version : Discombobulated
The strangest thing happened today in my english class and I came out on top mwwwahhhhh!!!!
My english teacher was reading an article from a paper and as he was reading it, the word "discombobulated" popped up!! He looked at us and said "never seen that word before - have any of you"
I was sooooo shocked as if you remember the moment from BB2, Elizabeth asked Dean the very same question....
I told my English teacher that it meant "out of sorts" (deans explantion) and he was very impressed!
So watching Big Brother does have its benefits!

Brilliant! Big Brother is now educational and we have to watch it!
Just what I wanted to hear :joker:
Well done, Mark! :hello: :hello: :hello:
You're absolutely right, janette. Who said reality TV wasn't educational? :joker:
And thanks to BB2 we also know what 'stuff' really means!!

Mark,
Own up, your superior grasp of the English language is largely thanks to reading the inventive, flowing, witty and articulate posts made by guests on your site!
I was thrilled that 'Betty' did not know the meaning of discombobulated! I was even more thrilled she had to admit to Dean that she never had a best friend at school. I was amazed that she managed to accumulate 2% of the vote. I put this down entirely to misdialling.
More than anything though Mark, I'm delighted that one of her many shortcomings was able to be put by you to such good use.
Double and triple cool!:hello:
As an ex-English teacher (who incidentally did know what discombobulated meant before Dean  ) I agree entirely.
Very educational and an absolute must for anyone seeking education in the finer points of life, the universe and everything.
I learnt a lot. For example:
There's no chicken in chick peas
A Dove is a bird
It takes two to tango
Demons live behind mirrors
and on a more serious note, the finer points of first aid.
and sooo much more........
:flower:
R.O.B., I should really 'tick you off' for being mean to one of the BB2 housemates. :nono:
...... but I can't, because I haven't had such a good belly laugh in ages!!!
