Davina claims she is no longer a fan of civilian BB

Former Big Brother host Davina McCall has suggested she’s no longer a fan of the main show.


Davina fronted the iconic reality telly series for a decade on Channel 4, stepping down when the series moved to Channel 5 in the summer of 2011.

While Davina was always a huge BB nerd, it seems that she’s fallen out of love with the show since the channel switch and no longer watches, although she is still interested in the Celebrity version.

“I will definitely watch the Celebrity one, which I do like,” Davina said when asked if she’ll be watching the new BBUK series.

Speaking about the new Celebrity Big Bro run, Davina had her own dream line up of celebs that we can’t help but feel are a little too big for Channel 5′s budget.



“I want to have Vitoria and David Bekcham, Gordon Ramsay, Joey Essex would be brilliant and Adam Garcia for the ladies – a house like that would be great,” David said.

The Got To Dance host added: “We can always dream, can’t we!”

That's probably true. I do think she had a final surge of interest in UBB, compare her presenting on UBB to BB9-BB11 and you can tell. I think it was because of all her faves in there, like Nadia.

I think she said something like you need a lot of time to really watch civilian BB. Which is true really. It's on every night for two months so even a casual viewer has really got to try and dedicate their time to understanding what's going on.

Although she doesn't actually say in that article "I don't like regular BB", TellyMix have just taken a quote and twisted it. I'd assume her views are pretty much the same as they were years ago, more to do with not having time to be fully dedicated to it. Some may view that as 'disliking' the show, but it's probably more of a loss of interest.

It was plainly obvious in BB9 and 10 that she was going through the motions. That was when she was at her most annoying because her excitement was forced and not natural.

Back in the days when she was a huge fan she said she'd catch up on anything she missed during the day on the Friday whilst getting ready.

Davina is suffering from "sour grapes" because she aint in the limelight....So she pretends to be not interested. She does not like to see someone else making a success of it.....Take my word for it and ask the shrinks......:hugesmile:
