It really isn't. Housemate we hate would stay in right till the final. Watching housemates who have behaved atrociously realise that the public hates them is one of the most satisfying moments of BB, think of Sezer, Kris etc. That doesn't happen with the US version.

But even then, regardless of how good a season is the episodes always turn out horrible with the editing, scripted and repetitive DRs, etc. But that's besides the point, I'm not trying to sound like starry. BBUS and BBUK each have their own good positives and shouldn't co-mingle. I just don't get it when people (this isn't direct at you Jack, just in general) insist that BBUK should be strategy-centered and allow nomination talk and all of that. A of all, British HMs suck at strategizing since the show hasn't been strategy based ever. BB13 strategy talk was ****, that's why it got changed. B of all, if you want strategy so badly like, just watch BBUS instead? Both shows are enjoyable for different reasons, neither format needs to be changed ^_^

I agree. Strategising doesn't have the same effect here because it's meaningless, the public have the power.

There's no point in BBUK becoming more like BBUS or vice versa, we don't want them to morph into one another. We like the differences, everybody can enjoy the different series that they prefer.

I get what you're saying but the reason myself and I presume others want BBUK to take on the US format is because we want to see people from our own country playing that game and perhaps even be given the opportunity to apply to take part ourselves. The reason British housemates have sucked at strategising before is because well, BBUK isn't really a game. I mean I know that's kinda contradictory since each year I'll defend criticism housemates like Makosi and Dexter get by saying 'it's a gameshow, they can do x and y' but while housemates can try and play a game, it's still not really a game while ever the public ultimately decide who gets evicted, so of course they're going to suck. I mean the most you can do is con the public and your fellow housemates by putting on a fake, inoffensive personality so you're not nominated or voted out which is just counterproductive for entertainment value anyway. There's no real strategy involved and so I mean at least for one series (and this one would be the perfect time to trial it given the theme) I'd like to see us take on the BBUS format so that they're forced to strategise and play properly.

In general though I feel like voters in the UK ruin the show and I get a lot less pissed if a favourite of mine is evicted under the US format since more often than not it's their own fault than if a favourite of mine is evicted because some cat ladies preferred the younger, attractive, inoffensive male.

BBUK is never, ever going to take it on though (at most just HoH/Veto but still the public vote in which case I hope they don't bother because strategy will still be ultimately pointless and meaningless) so no matter how much I hope for it you have nothing to worry about :p

Actually if anything I could see BBUS following in Canada's footsteps and giving the viewers more power, so the UK format might win out overall tbh

I get what you're saying but the reason myself and I presume others want BBUK to take on the US format is because we want to see people from our own country playing that game and perhaps even be given the opportunity to apply to take part ourselves. The reason British housemates have sucked at strategising before is because well, BBUK isn't really a game. I mean I know that's kinda contradictory since each year I'll defend criticism housemates like Makosi and Dexter get by saying 'it's a gameshow, they can do x and y' but while housemates can try and play a game, it's still not really a game while ever the public ultimately decide who gets evicted, so of course they're going to suck. I mean the most you can do is con the public and your fellow housemates by putting on a fake, inoffensive personality so you're not nominated or voted out which is just counterproductive for entertainment value anyway. There's no real strategy involved and so I mean at least for one series (and this one would be the perfect time to trial it given the theme) I'd like to see us take on the BBUS format so that they're forced to strategise and play properly.

In general though I feel like voters in the UK ruin the show and I get a lot less pissed if a favourite of mine is evicted under the US format since more often than not it's their own fault than if a favourite of mine is evicted because some cat ladies preferred the younger, attractive, inoffensive male.

BBUK is never, ever going to take it on though (at most just HoH/Veto but still the public vote in which case I hope they don't bother because strategy will still be ultimately pointless and meaningless) so no matter how much I hope for it you have nothing to worry about :p

Actually if anything I could see BBUS following in Canada's footsteps and giving the viewers more power, so the UK format might win out overall tbh

I don't really have anything to add to what you said, but I do appreciate BBUK as a bit of a game as it is. The strategy isn't explicit, but I definitely wouldn't call it an unstrategic game. The game is pretty subtle but it's there, and not only are you playing with the others but with the public too (even though that's a bit of an uphill battle if you have a vagina or any color to your skin.) Like, say what you want about Lisa Wallace but her game was on point through Kris's hilariously rigged eviction (at 11:53 pm, you said bhaihgs;lghjsgl), whether it be her coddling Sree to not end or arguing with Angel in front of her entire alliance to get them to nominate her. But then again, you can count the number of Lisa stans here on one hand so I'm sure nobody else will agree with me on that point.

Also going off of our little glimpse at BBUK-takes-on-BBUS in BB13, it was appearing that Conor and Arron and Luke Scrase were going to steamroll to the end if things played out strategically and I was not going to have that. We have enough Brigades/Quack Packs/Moving Companies/Quattros/First Fives/<insert ****ty alliance made up of ****ty people>, last thing I would want is another one, let alone another successful one.
