I took Graphics as an option and it was my favourite lesson. All-boys class (unlike my other classes) so lessons were always hilarious and we had a great teacher. The work we did was fun too. Plus my teacher always use to give me preferential treatment as I was the only one in the class who got an A* for the exam :smug:

Most of my friends who did Art said it was their worst lesson and regretted choosing it. Even ones who were really talented got poor grades. Glad I didn't take it, I was really really close

hated music

I hated Art, my teacher was horrid as well & constantly gave me detentions.
My music teacher was just as bad & forced people to sing infront of the class.

I loved Tech, I also did Graphics for GCSE & It was really fun & everyone messed around on the computers & I was good at it too

I did both Art and Tech for GCSE. Got B's :D

I made a wooden rocking horse and packaging for cutlery. The rocking horse was pretty cool but my packaging was terrible! I tried to aim it specifically for fancy dates but it looked cheap and tacky LOL. I enjoyed doing all the intial ideas and designs.

We had to make lamps. I forgot what design movement mine was based on but it was something to do with nature, it was this big boxy flower with a wooden base, long metal (forgot which metal) 'stem' and acrylic lamp shades that acted as the 'petals'. Then painted over everything except for the petals with acrylic paint

Ours was all computer based & then we used a machine to create the box from the design on the computer, then we had to do packaging etc

I had to design the acrylic petals on the computer before printing them on a laser machine

We didn't do packaging

Sound creative, somebody in the year above me did a similar sort of lamp.

I can't draw so art was just a no. Music in our school was 'tap a few notes on a keyboard lol' and only food technology was good.

Being able to play "there's a hole in my bucket" on the keyboard in year 7 was the high point of my music career

I always enjoyed art although I wasn't amazing at it and our teacher was a bit moody, but I liked some of the projects we did. some tech was okay and I didn't like music.

I only ever did music, I didn't have a choice to do any of the other two. I enjoyed music though, I learned some valuable skills which still stick with me today. It's especially nice to be able to read music.
