From ridiculous tasks to drunken mishaps, the housemates have us laughing out loud as Big Brother tortures them for his own - and our – amusement.
Sure, CBB has given us golden moments like Lionel Blair swinging around a pole in a PVC policeman's costume, but nothing can crack us up like the hysterical meltdowns and one-liners from the good old regular housemates.
So in anticipation of tomorrow night's launch, we have taken a walk down memory lane to collect some of the most
side-splitting moments in BB history.
HELENISMS
Back in 2001, we are all dancing to Wheatus' Teenage Dirtbag, we had bought our tickets to see Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, and we were all laughing ourselves silly at the stuff that came of out of Helen Adams' mouth. The dizzy blonde came second in BB2, with the nation falling in love with her sweet nature and naivety, as well as her heartwarming romance with Paul. However, Helen's best contribution to the house were her side-splitting one-liners – for example, the hairdresser once asked was there much chicken in chickpeas. Her most famous line, though, was her ode to eye movements, when she stated: "I love blinking I do."
AM I MINGING?
Jade Goody became everybody's ultimate housemate when she shot to fame on the third series of BB. Although every moment she was on camera was entertaining, her most iconic meltdown occurred when she discovered she had verrucas on her toes and, er, fingers. After sobbing in the diary room, Jade cried even more when she was instructed to wear flip flops in the shower due to the contagious nature of her infection. Thus, the phrase "Am I minging?" was born.
ALEX PLAYS HIDE AND SEEK
There's nothing worse than a housemate that is aware of the cameras, but sometimes it can lead to TV gold. In series 3, the housemates were granted a roller disco, complete with 70s music playing in the background. When Alex Sibley walked off to the bedroom to get changed, the girls barged in to look for him, but he hid behind a door. As the door swung back, Alex mouthed the words to That's The Way I Like It to the camera, all while dancing and buttoning his shirt. Extra points go to Alex for actually making Big Brother laugh after admitting he had given himself a headache after straining too much on the toilet.
COMPRENDEZ?
A replacement for BB3 escaper Sandy, Tim Culley gifted us with plenty of memorable moments – we all remember him shaving his chest to hide his ginger regrowth, right? But his funniest moment seemed to be a serious rant. After being disqualified from the roller disco task after he left to change his contact lenses, Tim went to the Diary Room to tell Big Brother the rules were unfair. After saying: "You are discriminating against someone wearing contact lenses", Tim explained the situation, ending his argument with the everlasting catchphrase: "Comprendez?"[/B]
KATE'S TIPSY TUMBLE
Ah, alcohol, the creator of many a hilarious moment. Kate Lawler unwittingly produced a classic BB moment after she drunkenly ran to the bedroom to put on more trousers before being sent to the "poor side" of the house. Unfortunately, with a few drinks on her, balancing on one leg became too difficult, and Kate toppled to the ground, where she calmly continued to pull on her pants.[/B]
WHO IS SHE?
We could really put any one of Nikki Grahame's Diary Room rants on this list. The petite blonde became one of the biggest stars of BB after she repeatedly threw tantrums on the seventh series, about the fellow housemates, nominations, the air conditioning… well, about everything really. But her most memorable meltdown involved housemate Susie putting her up for eviction. Dressed in a gold bikini, Nikki seethed: "I am feeling really venomous and angry", before theatrically asking: "Who is she? Who is she? Who is she? Where did you find her?" Er, they found her through a golden ticket system, Nikki.[/B]
GLYN COOKS AN EGG
Welsh wonder Glyn was just 18 when he entered BB7, and had never lived on his own before. So, while most of us learn life skills through moving off for uni, Glyn had an education on national TV. The teen's biggest achievement was boiling an egg for the first time – so chuffed was Glyn that he created his very own song for the occasion. Everybody now – "I'm cooking an egg for the very first time, ah hmmm…"[/B]
JOSIE'S PERSPECTIVE ON LIFE
When bad things happen, it's easy to wallow in your own misfortune. But Josie Gibson has a unique way of being grateful for what you have. In a slice of unwitting genius, the eventual 2010 winner told housemates: "Whenever I feel a bit low, I think about that woman who got her face ripped off by a chimpanzee." Because that's sure to warm your cockles.[/B]
ALEX GETS A TAN
Big Brother isn't often very nice to housemates, so 2011 contestant Alex should have known the offer of a fake tan was too good to be true. The Geordie girl was given a golden glow by BB during a "Yes task" – but was forced to say yes to any offer after this as well. The task resulted in Alex getting four consecutive spray tans, emerging from the diary room a deep shade of mahogany.[/B]

Can't believe they left out Gina's iconic "weeee" when they flipped her over after drinking that stuff.
