Through balls apparently less easier to pull off. Players react to things like tackles/misses differently depending on the time/scoreline in the match.

Interview with David Rutter... Not sure how Gamespot managed to get a good looking presenter for a change. She looks better on Google Images though.

Might as well add in THE KING (PES) to this thread as well.

Pointless teaser trailer. Info coming on June 25th.

PES First Details:

Konami have released the first official details for PES 2015.

PES 2015 aims to recreate that heart-in-mouth feeling associated with being part of a crucial top-flight match and is centered around the slogan ‘the pitch is ours’.

It has been developed through the combined efforts of both the Tokyo and Windsor based PES Productions Teams. PES 2015 returns to the series core values, giving out super responsive controls and renowned gameplay, where the user has unrestricted control over how they play. Various key elements have also been reworked in order to make sure that every pass, shot or off-the-ball run is finely balanced to give maximum player satisfaction within PES 2015’s on-field action. You will also be pleased to hear that Shooting and Goalkeeping have also been completely reworked.

Excitement Of Goals

A new shooting system allows a variety of unrestricted shooting styles with precise control over the direction and power of all strikes. Countering enhanced attacking options, goal keepers intuitively close angles and are capable of an incredible number of ways to react to any situation, including altering centre of gravity.

Final Pass

Likewise, passing options available to players when delivering a final pass have been expanded, allowing for little knock-ons or searing low passes that use new physics routines to ensure the ball behaves realistically across every situation, providing unique and differing outcomes decided by user actions.

1 on 1

The final key element that has been totally reworked centres around the degree of close control on offer. Positioning is vital, but the ability to dribble into space and beat your marker is now hugely improved and opens up PES 2015 as the definitive on-field experience.

These three central features, along with the following additional elements aims to make sure PES 2015 is the most entertaining and breath-taking match-day experience imaginable.

Incredible Response Times: Lightning fast controls allow users to instinctively react to every movement when the ball is in play.
Full Pitch AI: The game engine now features AI that is constantly adjusted covering everything that develops on the pitch, resulting in players making runs, finding space and marking opponents even when off the screen.
Closest Control: Take on defenders using each player’s bespoke dribbling skills, as opposed to relying on ‘trick’ moves. New skills include jinking runs, responsive sprints and incorporating a much wider range of pace – from walking to sprinting.
Case for Defence: Users have complete control over when to close down, tackle, or hold up play. Successful defending is based entirely on the decisions the user makes.
The Fox Engine returns, making its full awaited PES debut on next-gen consoles. The new consoles allow a level of visual acuity and in-game advances that were previously impossible. All graphical features in-game from players, to crowd and stadium now benefit from a single source of real-time lighting naturally bringing the game to vivid next gen life. Key features of the Fox Engine in PES 2015 include:

Behavioural Patterns: PES 2015 now boasts a huge array of players that both look and play like their real-life counterparts. KONAMI has faithfully recreated over 1000 players this year, with bespoke animations and playing styles across its extensive player roster. They run like they should, play the way they do in real life, and react emotionally as they would to fouls, goals or referee decisions – with their frame of mind actually affecting how they play!
Poetry in Motion: The individuality of the players is further enhanced with seamless animations. No sacrifice to animation has been made in the pursuit of fast response, yet the movements flow effortlessly calculated in real-time and dependent on the player’s position in relation to the ball and its speed.
Bring the Noise: PES 2015 mirrors the atmosphere of a top-flight match. The crowd animations have been hugely enhanced, and the ebb and flow of a match is met with context-sensitive crowd effects and movements.
Let There Be Light: Real-time lighting is used across the entire stadium, with the enhanced visuals bathed in the changing light of a changeable day or the stark glare of the floodlights at a night match
PESID also returns in PES 2015, giving out player realism like never before. PES 2015 aims to bring the best players and teams to vibrant life – recreating the playing styles of the world’s best sides and stars.

PES ID : Teams will be set up to play as they do in real-life, while their star players will work within this framework, but will be instantly recognisable via their runs and playing styles. The world’s greatest teams will not only move and find space like they would in real life, they will also defend or attack like them automatically.
Balance of Play: Teams will automatically adopt their real-life counterparts’ game plan, whether it is counter-attacking, out wide, or defensively minded.
Realistic Abilities: While the world’s greatest players are indeed capable of moments of incredible skill, PES 2015 focuses on their abilities as a player and not their flicks and tricks. Beating a man using pace and close control is key to attacking play, and only those that can will get away with rainbow flicks. And, even then, not every time
If that isn’t enough, Konami have also made a number of other Key Additions in PES 2015, which include:

myClub: Extensive Master League Online overhaul allows players and managers to be added using accumulated GP or via micro-transactions within club dealings. Agents now used to meet player requirement criteria, while unhappy players can upset the balance of a side to detrimental effect. Extends to offline play.
Live Updates: Weekly data updates constantly adjust transfers and team line-ups in English, French, Italian, Spanish and Brazilian leagues. Player data is also updated based on current performances every week, so if a player is on a goal-scoring streak, his stats will be boosted accordingly in the update. Applied to all online modes and optional within single-player mode.
Accurate Player Stats: The player parameter system for PES has been completely rebuilt, working with key community sites across the globe to create the most realistic player stats database.
Adaptable Match Environments: Does your opponent prefer to play a passing game? Then tell the groundsman not to cut the grass so short. Or have it watered to speed up your team’s passing play. You can tailor any part of your stadia to suit your bespoke needs.
PES 2015 is set to be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC later this year.

EA will always win graphically due to the money they have. This whole emotion thing will no doubt be fooked up by EA.

They better just fix how 90% of the goals come from crosses and how the shortest player still wins the header over someone like Kompany.

PES should go back to its roots, was always best when they had no rights at all and all fake teams/players with the made up default team you would always start the Master League with

Kinda debating if I should get the new FIFA game.

They have all the MLS teams (minus the two new ones that start next year, hopefully a roster update or a DLC comes out to fix that) but they show no love for the stadiums. There's a couple of good ones like Sporting Park and Centurylink Field.

I have FIFA 13, I think that's a bit behind.

Can you play the demo online vs others?

You've never been able to so probably not. The game settings are always set for like 2 minute halfs.. Very annoying.

Ryan57
09-09-2014, 10:30 AM
Initial thoughts...

The presentation is far improved on FIFA 14. Much more of a television feel with Martin Tyler reading players out when the line up screen is shown. The Premier League layout is great also.

Gameplay wise it feels more realistic. L1 plus Triangle is much less effective. First touches are more realistic.

A downside is as soon as you start the demo and it loads, you're put into a Liverpool vs City game in which Liverpool can win the title. Had to immediately end the match to save myself.

Ryan57

It's Sony's fault as the demo is ready for them to put up now if they wanted, but the store doesn't update until tomorrow over here.

Played it abit at my mate's.

Thank **** this isn't close to the final build. The game is so broken. The keepers are ridiculous with letting in the long shots straight at them like idiots and then being superman with shots from inside the box  It's still abit too easy to score near post from an angle too.

I love the passing though. Movement is a little annoying though. Sterling and Aguero seemed the only ones to make the exact run I wanted lol

I've checked a couple Youtube vids to see if it was just some luck we had, but it's happened in a couple vids too it seems. EA did say that the Goalkeepers have been patched for the actual game though.

Twitter seems to have alot of people saying the same too regarding long shots or volleys from far, but there are a small minority also saying they are impossible so maybe they are doing it wrong

Drew.
10-09-2014, 12:11 AM
Yeah nearly every video I've seen people have been complaining about the long shots but this demo is from months ago, so much has been done since then so the game itself should be fine.

Second game much better. Keeper saved loads of shots inside the box but conceded a worldie of a free kick which I can't complain.

First impressions so far;

Love the fact that the computer concedes fouls now.
The collision mechanics and fouling look a lot more realistic.
I fookin love the sound of the ball hitting the bar this year.

Fooking typical EA. Makes playing online pointless.

Just played a clubs match. Was a drop in game. There was this guy upfront on my team that was so selfish. I think he passed like twice. :joker:

He just constantly tried to do it all alone. And failed, luckily.

The selfishness... :idc:

It's like I'm playing with a bunch of 7 year old wannabe Messis. :idc:

I'm constantly running back and forth to help out, yet all they bloody do is try and do it themselves. :idc:

And...

Keep trying to sign in. Try signing out the PSN then back in, then connect to EA Servers.

It's best playing with people you know. Although, Drew is the exact same as that

Without doubt better with people you know, I imagine. That way I can tell Drew what I think of him on here. :fist:

I take everything I said about this game back. I'm half-way through career mode and all of a sudden I'm shipping goals like crazy every game. Defending is an absolute joke I've almost thrown this game out the window 3 times now. Last fifa for me now, I'm done with it.

ok i'm in the middle of a game atm so i can't scroll up but this GAME IS HORRIBLE

i got it yesterday and i'm in my first FUT season (single player) and everything is so impossibly hard for semi-pro :worry: fitness disappears in a match pretty much instantly, tackling is impossible and don't get me started on one-on-ones with the keeper

i've been scraping 1-0 wins (if not 0-0 draws) and then all of a sudden, i get a professional mode opponent, and i win 4-0. i do not understand that :suspect:

OH AND EVERY TIME THEY SHOW A SLO-MO BIT OF THE GOALKEEPER PUTTING THE BALL DOWN FOR A GOALKICK, OR THE ARDUOUS JOGGING OF THE REFEREE TO GIVE A YELLOW CARD, I FEEL LIKE SELF-HARMING

but no yeah good game lovely graphics x

The King is back. The gameplay is just so far ahead of FIFA. The way Daley Blind deploys himself a la real life. :flutter:

The first Fifa tournament got off to a great start, Bohemian F.C. & Pogoń Szczecin securing me the title.
