On my return from holiday I was told that there was an article on H in our local paper, so without even a cup of tea there I was on the computer sussing it out.

BLINKING 'ECK! BB STAR HELEN'S WORKING IN SALON

A Former contestant from hit reality TV show Big Brother is now working in a hair salon in Bristol, the Evening Post can reveal. Helen Adams has moved to Portishead from London and this week started working for Saks Hair and Beauty, which opened a month ago in Regent Street, Clifton.

The Welsh blonde was a hairdresser before finding fame on the second series of Big Brother, where she was best known for her romance with fellow contestant Paul Clarke and quirky comments, the most famous of which was: "I love blinking, I do."

Since leaving London after the end of her five-year relationship with Paul earlier this year, Helen says she has fallen in love with Bristol and is enjoying life away from the cameras, giving her the chance to get back into hairdressing.

The 28-year-old said: "I've only been working here since Tuesday but I've been living in the area for two months.

"I had some friends who lived in Clifton and I used to come here to visit. I just liked it because it was close to Wales, but not too close.

"I can go and see my mum and have dinner with her. I do still go back to London to do media work and to see my friends.

"I like Bristol because it's busy but not too busy and Clifton has a village feel to it, without everyone knowing your business.

"The buildings are really nice, the accents are great and it's a nice place to be.

"I like going out to the Severn Shed and to Whiteladies Road and Park Street. Bristol is generally great for going out.

"I'm single at the moment and don't do boyfriends anymore - I'm more intent on going out with my friends and having a good time."

Since finishing second to Brian Dowling in Big Brother in 2001, Helen has released her own dance workout video and appeared as a health and beauty expert on the television show Lorraine with Lorraine Kelly.

l Anyone interested in having their hair cut by Helen can call Saks on 973 9471.

Seems she has changed salons - probably because she wasnt getting much work. Can confirm Saks is new - not in phone directory.

Interesting - which friends does she see:love:

Good or bad? She can always come to my house for a cup of tea and a lecture!!

As for the accents, if she is in Clifton then she hasnt heard the best ? of Bristol. Gurt lush we be down yere.

Will have to get out that 007 outfit again ROB and Rachel!

I wonder what happened with the salon she was in before then.
I do hope the friends she visits includes Paul and I hope that he isn't doing girlfriends anymore either then maybe if we all wish hard enough:love:

I think the first place was a stop gap.

Saks is the sort of company that you buy the franchise from. Perhaps that's what she has done, as it has only just opened. After all she worked for Saks before

Oh, and I'm wishing Rach, I'm wishing!

I'm not sure she would admit to seeing other people in interviews even if she was. I think she keeps those cards 'close to her chest'.

I had a quick look at the interview in Love it in the shop. Mainly about losing weight and all that, plus a new picture, you'll want to check it out I think.

The Love It interview was only going over old ground to be honest.

It was more a narrative, but it seems shes using the same lines for every interview.

Checked out the new salon on Saturday when I was in the area. Doesnt seem to be any busier than where she was before. In fact they are offering 33% off cut and finish if anyone is passing! When I went by at about 2.00pm there were four staff members sitting chatting - no customers and unfortunately no sign of H.

Anyone else have the impression that H is using her weight gain as one of the reasons for splitting. She makes such a point of saying how much they ate when they were together and now she has been able to diet. Girl - the word you needed was NO. You dont have to eat man size portions just because you are in a relationship. And all this stressing about how happy she is to be single - methinks you doth protest too strongly. Wait til those long cold, lonely winter nights.
