I have a memory of one of the past seasons allowing them to watch a game as a prize for winning a task.. Just can't remember what series it was or what game.

Should they let them this year? Or make it a prize for winning a task again? Or just not let them at all?

The first option

Wasn't it BB3 and Sandy went over the wall when it was on? I think.

If they win a task and earn it, why not?

All the England games shown no matter what, they can watch some of the other games as rewards for tasks as well

Think it might have been BB11 I was thinking of, a sudden memory of posh Ben doing a big camp walk up to taking a penalty in an England shirt has returned to my mind

They had a penalty shootout against the German BB housemates I think, the winner might have got to watch the game or something like that

Unless England get to the final, nah

Only the power housemate should be allowed to watch it and the nominees.

But in BB13 the housemates didn't get to watch any of the London 2012 Olympics, which would've sucked for them probably. So I'd say no, unless they did another cross-BB house thing like they did with Germany in 2010.

They should get a housemate who isn't into/hates football to watch it and report what happened to the football fans.

I don't mind if they won it. I'm not a football fan but if they work hard then it could be a nice treat.

100% NO NO NO NO. They signed up to give their summer up to be in the house, and I don't even think they sould have letters from home or indeed any contact with family or friends unless there is an urgent need to do so.

In BB11 they had to play football against the German house and whoever won got to watch it. Ife scored a goal and the UK house got to watch it, Think they should do that again this year

Nah they shouldnt be allowed to watch any thing.

flamingGalah!
08-06-2014, 11:52 AM
No! It makes a mockery out of the whole premise of the show when they have so much contact with the outside world, they may as well give them a key & say they have to be home by midnight :idc:

it would be good if they were allowed to watch as a prize for winning a task or something.

Of course. Give them an easy task to pass and let them watch our Lions to battle in the Jungle.

Samm

They did it in BB3, they let them watch the world cup but with no sound on the TV

It was still terrible and boring just to see them sat around watching TV

Brother Leon

I bet if they did we would get all these "Bloody C5" threads and posts when it was C4 that started doing that in the first place

I think the task premise should only be used if England get to like the semis or final..

But for every game NO, it ruins the whole meaning of BB if they get ANY view of the outside world. Obama's inauguration was different imo

No bleedin' way. Where exactly do they think they are?? It'll be a slippery slope, mark my words...

Locke.

Would be pretty good if they had a movie night every friday as well where 2 housemates get to attend, but that's for a whole different thread

give them a task if they win there can watch live if there lose there have to watch the game backwards

Well, I wouldn't be totally opposed to them winning the right to watch through a task, but I voted "No" because, frankly, they shouldn't have gone into BB this year if they care about watching it so much.

I will be watching the world cup as obsessively as BB, but no I don't want to watch them watch it. Don't mind them having a world cup themed task though if it's interesting enough.

BigSister
08-06-2014, 03:37 PM
No. BB3 was good because it was a treat and I think there was a week long task but now it prob would be given for no work or anything. Unless they got to the final or something

I wouldn't mind something like from BB11 where they compete with a foreign house and whichever one wins gets to watch the game or something.
