Lol, I can't wait, I only have to get 40% to pass 1st year History, and that doesn't even go towards my final degree mark. Does it get any better?! :spin:

Which uni you hoping to get into then?
Reading or Leicester or Cardiff or Exeter or East Anglia or Southampton
I hope Reading, but Exeter would be even better, one catch - I need AAA to go to Exeter
What about you?
Lauren
05-09-2006, 07:13 PM
Northumbria, Edinburgh, Leeds
But I want Northumbria so much that I haven't bothered reading up on the other ones, haha. I only need BBC to do the course I want, and my predicted is currently ABB.
ABB! Lucky, I think I'm at BBB at the moment which will just get me into Reading, Leicester and East Anglia.
My school doesn't submit AS grades to UCAS
Lauren
05-09-2006, 07:27 PM
My 6th form not ONLY submits AS level grades, but they submit each individual module of AS level. Hahah, how horrible.

Oooh evil, I'd be in big trouble if my school did that.
Well, to beat Daveyboy, I went back two weeks ago on Thursday. It was horrible! Ugh, words can not describe how much I hate going back to school after the holidays. Once it's past Christmas, I'm fine (as we get all the sh!tey stuff before Xmas; including cross country) but.. this period of time is the worst! x[

Learn? I seriously have better stuff to do. I dont enjoy it, I hate it. I know enough to get me through life. Knowing how to seperate Atoms or running on a field will not help my future. All you need to know is basically how to spell, write and read.
School was sh!te, some of the subjects were pointless.

Are you sure you aren't Meh in disguise Mark? Lolz that's exactly what I think! I mean, I'm just planning to leave school the moment I'm sixteen, leave home to stay with friends or something, and try and get my novel published to bring in some money. Then I can audition for BB... :hello:

I'm back next Tuesday when i start Year 11, FUN FUN FUN! I agree with you two; Mark and Flame, i don't need none of this crap i'm learning in school, but because i've got no choice in going then i may aswell make the most of it and do something. Plus, for every GCSE i get next year, my family are giving me quite a bit of money. Yeahh, that's the real reason i'm going to work this year.
So how was everyone's day?
I went back today and it wasn't that bad at all to be honest.
But I still feel drained.

That doesn't sound too good Markus, I don't know if it's the same subject but is Technology the same as DT? Cause that's what we used to call it.
If it is then I just used to use those lessons as relaxation periods, and use my concentration energy on the more important subjects in my opinion.

Yeah not nice :bored: It used to be a huge muck around for me so I have quite fond memories, especially as we had a teacher that got annoyed very quickly, and when he got annoyed people had to try and stop themselves laughing at him cos it was hilarious, happy days!
I quit it at the end of Year 9.

at least you got to drop it sol we had to do a tech for our GCSE i had to pick food tech it was the only 1 i was good at
Yeah the school I'm at now has that policy but I did my GCSEs at a different school luckily.

Grr! Our school made us pick a tech, I would've dropped it altogether if I could've!! I went for Graphics... and basically "dealt" with it for 2 years!!
I did systems and control, it was a new subject brought in that year and I'm not even sure the teacher knew what we had to do lol.First year we just reasearched energy and do some electronics for coursework, 2nd year we had to design and make a can crusher, I never got past ordering my materials and only ended up doing the exam and I got a G
We were only forced to obviously pick 'the cores', 1 humanity, 1 language (inless seriously dyslexic) and one other subject of your choice.
But as I liked History and French back then it wasn't really forced on me as I would've chosen those subjects anyway.
Oh yeah, as it was our first day back everyone was gossiping about what AS results everyone got etc... and I was talking to a mate in my old AS French group who's decided to take it onto A2, and he revealed that I actually beat someone!!!!!!!!!!!
The teacher I had was convinced that I would get nothing higher than a D and that I was by far the worst in the class.
I got an E in AS French, but this girl got a U!!!
Sorry to celebrate other peoples misfortune but it kind of smacks this teacher (who I hated to death) in the face saying I was the worst, when infact I wasn't!
I always thought this girl 'flew under the radar' during class and sucked up to the teacher.

yay well done Sol ^_^
With options with us we had to take English Maths RS Sciences French(this was before it was dropped as a one you had to take) and 2 others from 2 sections(I picked ICT and History) and a tech

For my GCSE choices. We HAD to choose either French or German, we HAD to choose one Technology. Then we could pick 2 more subjects of our choice, although they couldn't be another technology.
Its a bit of a strange system, really. :puzzled:
Lauren

We had to have 2 languages for GCSE.
Then we had 3 seperate options apart from that.
But I passed German and French. Lauren the Linguist.:hugesmile:
