View Full Version : The tasks this year
Most of the tasks have all been cringey rubbish so far, feels like they're running out of ideas and just dumbing them down majorly. Tasks never seem that clever anymore, they just rely on lame gimmicks and props. Feels like basically every task so far has involved people being covered in some disgusting liquid while the rest of the housemates just giggle away, it's quite embarrassing to watch really. I remember someone making a good point a series or so ago where tasks are now all about props, costumes etc. rather than actually clever but simple tasks which mess with their minds or create some interesting situations and conversations. That should be done in a subtle way as well, not just really contrived like revealing one persons nominations

I mean like the mini tasks within the task. Stuff like Ash/Marlon smearing themselves in crap, Marlon tipping that disgusting stuff over him, and then them all crawling through that 'gunge pool' or whatever are just lame and not funny or clever

I remember tasks like where they had to learn a tune with different bells and play it all together correctly, I think bb4. I loved that as quite a few got pissed off

They need to go back to the simple tasks, example being the podium endurance one and the charades task.

Still waiting for a "Big Brother University" task, or a festival task.
There are genuinely a lot of ideas they haven't used yet, unfortunately the tasks are a lot less based around themes, and more just based around group of smaller tasks they came up with beforehand.

It's basically turned into 'I'm a Celeb'. Painfully dumb, but hopefully there're better to come. BB14 had some good ones - the quarantine task was fun.
Yeah the repetitiveness of the boring trials was one of the reasons I went off IAC, just samey attempts to disgust/scare/ridicule the contestants, lowest common denominator stuff
Great tasks, quite enjoying them so far.

I also don't like how they use them to manipulate HMs' nominations... for example Kimberly just happening to land, at 'random', on the wheel segment that said "reveal your nominations" when she just happened to already have them printed off in the box in front of her
