Compare this to the Brian days when the 3 housemates would be on window movie making graphics spinning on that rotating cgi box as brian announced their names.

Brilliant titles and looks very Channel 4.

Even the audience looked bigger, more so than the launch really lol.

I love the whole set up this year, from the graphics on screen, the snazzy housemate wall in the house, the studios, lighting, etc. The whole Power Trip theme looks great. They've still retained Marcus shouting into the house for the eviction announcement, but other than that I really like it all.

He reads out the housemate information on launch night which should be Emma's job and Big Brother should say 'Tamara, you have been evicted, please leave the Big Brother house' not Marcus shout 'TAMARA, PLEASE LEAVE IMMEDDIATTELLLYYYYY'

Pretty much how I feel. The eviction announcement was never his role in the first place, C5 just seem to want to over-utilize him. It's true that it wouldn't feel like BB without him, but that's as narrator. He was never the "Please leave the Big Brother House" person, and I don't see why he should be now.

I'm fine with him remaining as the narrator. He doesn't need to do other things that he never did anyway.

(His narration bugs me now and again, like during yesterday's funfair thing, but generally I don't mind him in that role).

No, I'm interested in the whole thing. As someone who loved the C4 evictions, where a BB voice would say it in a calm, emotionless manner, it's quite jarring to now have Marcus' loud voice booming over the eviction. On top of that, it makes little sense to me for him to do it. He's the narrator, why is he the one telling the evictee to leave? But, I could let it go if he was a bit calmer and quieter.

It doesn't totally distract me from the eviction now as I'm used to it. It's essentially become a lesser detail (especially when I love so much more about the production this year), but it still bugs me.

It was all great apart from Marcus again. Why do they feel the need to have his voice used for everything? They have Emma, producers, the task team... any of them could do voiceovers ffs.

Hit the nail on the head! When Big Brother used to announce who had been evicted it added the controlling power. Marcus tries to add a "Slapstick comedy" feel to eviction nights, well I for one feel the need to give Marcus a slap for his slapstick. Epic fail much Marcus!?
