Reasons behind Chris second nominations [Spoilers]

I was really shocked that Chris allegedly nominated Christopher.. what do you think was behind this reason?

To grantee Paulines eviction?
To remove the suspicion between him or Christopher?
To prove who is popular with the public? the outsiders or the insiders ..
To confuse the HMs?

At first I thought wtf? but then realised Chris must have thought hard about who was best to put up against Pauline that would be safe and also how to cover his tracks a bit, he couldn't choose Jale obviously so Christopher was the next best option considering he is the other hm that Pauline has been turning everyone against.

Good ol Chris is playing the game well IMO.
