How are Jale and Kimberly so liked?

After a whole week has gone by all we get from Jale is “pity me“ and Kimberly has just ripped off Rachel Rice's game.

I personally like Jale because she's a likable figure in the house, not to mention she's actually involved in a big storyline in the show.

I can't speak about Kimberly though. I don't get the hype on her either.

I like Jale because she comes across as someone I would get on with..and I think shes handled the seemingly endless bitching really well

Kimberly I am not so keen on, but I don't dislike either. Seems a nice girl but she does appear to be a bit of a fencesitter...I'm hoping shes just playing it slowly..as she came across fantastic in her VT.

I think with so many overpowering housemates at times in the house,it is refreshing to have Kimberley at present anyway not overreacting to things and appearing normal.

Jale has had some real nasty stick from Pauline, almost like the Lisa/Freddie hate thing. So likely,as I have for one,people have got behind Jale.

She has taken what was thrown at her and dealt with it admirably.
Kim hasn't shown much yet but she is a reserved kind of person who will come out more when the group is smaller. Meanwhile, she is dignified and likable.

Kim and Jale are 2 of my favourite HMs at the moment! What I like about Kim is that she is perceptive and can look at situations in many different points of view. Shes very tactile when she speaks and she shows genuine concern for her other HMs. I find what she has to say very interesting as with Jale, whom appears extremely approachable and friendly and is not easily fooled nor beaten down.

Kim again like people have said don't like or dislike her really but I prefer her than bitchy girls and boys who whisper and take the mick and are horrible. If that makes me boring than so be it. I just prefer these characters mostly.

I like them both because they're come across like they're being themselves and not trying to be anything that they aren't in everyday life.
Kimberly seems like she's an educated, fairly intelligent girl who seems like she's prepared to give everyone an equal chance. I've seen her having conversations with a wide range of housemates from the different groups and she appears to be actually interested in what they're saying unlike many of the other housemates who's favourite subjects are themselves.
Jale has also made an effort with people and seems like she's being herself. Given the way she's been treated i think she's handled herself with dignity. I don't think she's acted like a victim at all either!!! Yeah, she had a bit of a cry but i think she's entitled to after the treatment that she's undeniably received from Pauline and her followers.

After all, they've only been in there just over a week and it takes some people a bit longer than others to come out of their shells. I think we'll see a lot more from both of them given time.

Absolutely not!

Kim is able to look at the different points of view of a situation and so far that has led to opinions that middle to a relatively neutral stance but that does not mean she doesnt have an 'opinion' on something.

Her nominations and reasons were very well thought.

Kim's not one for 'be on my team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' and I like that.

I really like Jale because she has dealt with being a bit of an outsider and a target by others really well. She's a strong individual and i'm excited to see how her character develops in the house.

& i have a real soft spot for Kimberley, i think the best from her is yet to come!

Its annoying because I thought Kimberly was the most promising from the VT, they all said over the top things but I thought she would actually deliver. Jale I like though because shes likable and she went up against Pauline.

..yeah I agree with both of these..I don't think Jale has done the 'pity me' at all and she could have so easily done so and would have been justified as well but from when Pauline chose her for the killer nomination, Pauline has targeted her and tried to turn the other housemates against her...and this is why I think the house will become much more interesting if Pauline goes because then we will get too see the housemate's personalities more clearly and without Pauline's 'domination'...

Because the vast majority of the British public like someone they can feel superior too and lord over, which is why adopting the victim mentality and playing the underdog is so much more successful than being the 'big I am'.

Its for this same reason people like Joey Essex are 'famous'.

I can't stand kimberly, she over analyses everything, she always looks unhappy and I don't find her to be genuine either. I don't like jale much either and I completely agree that I can't understand why they're getting so much support (especially kimberly, jale is the victim and the public always love that so I'm not shocked there).

Absolutely agree armand. Kimberly is much more fortright and down to earth and isn't someone who wants to be all sweetness and light and forget about disharmony in the house. She has been there for many of the outsiders that are excluded from Helens little gang of followers

The problem with Kimberley is that she is like an ice-maiden...too cool for comfort. I can't imagine her having many belly laughs. On the other hand we have seen how funny Jale can be and I have nothing but admiration for the way she is dealing with Appalling Pauline.
