Really glad they're doing the rooms again! It was a welcome return last year  I hope they've ditched the split rooms/arena format though cause I don't feel like it worked
Liking that set also :flutter: gives me 2008 flashbacks especially now that Simon, Cheryl and Louis are reunited <3
SO excited for this series now

Shame they've lost the window backgrounds! I thought it really lightened the set, although according to something I've just read on Telly Mix there is a change auditions will go into the night as a result of a much tighter schedule than last year!! Love the panel desk though- better than the old desks they had pre-Arena Auditions!

Hopefully I'll have somebody to stan for hard this year, I didn't really get that last year, I enjoyed Luke a lot, most of his performances were brilliant, but I didn't really care when he hit the B2 each time, but obviously wanted him to stay, and Abi I guess, I was like one of 4 people in the UK who liked her, Kingsland as well, but I couldn't invest with them, knowing they'd go early, which annoyed me really because they're vastly superior to both Union J and District 3.
But yeah I want a Rylan (not a Rylan character, but somebody I can proper champion, I think Rylan staying over Kye is the biggest reaction I've ever given in a talent show environment, maybe 2nd to Will Young winning Pop Idol)

Took one look at the judges and thought 'Nah'. Will watch SJC on Xtra factor but just like last year i cant see myself watching much of this.
Sarah Jane Crawford is winning style wise for me.

Derm seems to be bulging.
Hopefully I'll have somebody to stan for hard this year
I agree with this I liked Hannah and Tamara and Sam too but last years cast was very weak compared to most years but the show it's self was most improved than most years, with the Rooms, the production and Sharon coming back

One day in and they're apparently one man down. Simon won't be at auditions today according to Mel B's picture she's just uploaded to instagram and Facebook.

It was the start of the decline of the show for me when they did away with the Audition Room! That was my favourite part of the show.
In recent years i struggle to stay interested in the show once the auditions are over. When they started concentrating more during the live shows on the bloody stage-sets and dancers than the actual singing i hated it.
They only used to have Dancers and stuff for the final and it makes it special then but when they started doing it right from the first live shows it spoiled the whole thing for me.
I remember when it was Pop Idol and Gareth Gates and Will Young were in the final they made a big fuss because they had custom tailored suits! No expense spared! Those were the days!!!
In general though the show was far more about finding people who could actually sing back in those days though! Cowell, on the whole, is taking the viewers for mugs. A new, much better show is needed and the X-Factor needs to roll over and breath its last breath.
