Let's have a vote... do you think the Jale situation in the house is bullying?
Yes or No...
Vote in the poll

Will vote on this when I have seen tonights HLs (TNA took priority  ) because it seems something significant has happened :suspect:
I was beginning to see the Christopher thing as bullying though. When they were all shouting boring at him the other night :bored:

Helen is definitely a raving bitch who thrives on having a target to get her blood boiling.

I feel like there's a pack mentality and singling out of Jale. There are HMs isolating her from the group.
Not really I guess, it just seems more like an in-crowd, out-crowd environment. But then again, we've really not gotten a chance to understand most of the people in there (or they're just ridiculously one-dimensional) so it's hard to tell what's triggering the divides.

I don't know, I can see that Jale is being treated badly. But without live feed it's too difficult to tell.

But there's a fairly large group at the moment and there only seems about 4 or 5 horrible ones. The rest are just floaters. And Jale's already stated that she doesn't buy Pauline's **** and clearly dislikes Helen. It's only been just over a week so I think the groups are just taking a little longer to form.

In a word. No. Jale gives as good as she gets. She hasn't complained she is being bullied, and I think she would be the best judge of that.

I must admit, I'm not really enjoying watching it, as I feel like it's always the same stuff... Pauline sniping, Helen gobbing off..

Where does Danielle stand? After the support Jale offered her when she was going off on one Danielle seems to have vanished from Jale's side.
Has Danielle's problem with the sex obsessed group suddenly vanished or have they stopped being crude?

I'd have preferred an option to vote 'bullying in part', as I hate the term bullying used in full as to BB usually.
However, I can only describe Paulines and Helen's nastiness towards Jale as nothing but attempts to turn others strongly against her,to ostracise her and to totally try to belittle her around others, also putting her down on one to one too, as some bullying
So I have voted yes, as to have voted no would virtually mean excusing their really bad behaviour towards her.

She'll get more respect from me when she starts standing up for herself.

Wikipedia definition of bullying:
Bullying may be defined as the activity of repeated, aggressive behavior intended to hurt another person, physically or mentally. Bullying is characterized by an individual behaving in a certain way to gain power over another person.[10]
Norwegian researcher Dan Olweus[11] says bullying occurs when a person is:
'exposed, repeatedly and over time, to negative actions on the part of one or more other persons'. He says negative actions occur 'when a person intentionally inflicts injury or discomfort upon another person, through physical contact, through words or in other ways.'
So I say YES.

There is a pack mentality against her, as if it's 'fair game' to be mean to Jale.

If they were one to one with Jale for a day then they would be much nicer to her.
But being in numbers brings out the worst in certain people.

a definition:
"use superior strength or influence to intimidate (someone), typically to force them to do something"
You could say that Jale felt intimidated to enter the house and so felt forced to remain outside for an example from tonight. It all depends on how Jale views things I guess. Shes clearly being isolated so I would say yes Helen and Pauline are expressing bullying behaviour whether they should have a sticky label as a 'bully' I dont know.

Good.
..I haven't watched any of the balm-gate stuff yet but I certainly think I would describe Pauline as a psychological bully..it's not just that she targets people and tries to turn others against them because that's quite often done..it's more that she tries to justify things to them by trying to persuade them that it's all their fault/that if they were 'better' people then these things wouldn't happen to them..a purposeful dumbing down of self-esteem in someone is something I feel is bullying...Helen..?..I've not seen anything that could be described as bullying yet..

Yes it is definitely bullying. She is being targetted. But, Jale is a strong person and will come through it fine. I think Helen will hang herself (metaphorically) before the end of the series i.e I think she will lose the right to a free pass to the final.

they are all the new kids at school. the popular ones have made there barricades. and the different ones are being picked on and bansished but mainly looked down upon cause the others think they are better. some are trying desperatly hard to fit in the popular gang. some dont like the gang but wont speak up as they dont want to be targeted.
its no different to school lol
is it bullying yeah of course it is .but its nowhere near the deana bb level of bullying. now that was so bad, this is more picking on bullying than anything. its nothing to be worked up about just people trying to dominate others.

It's like when people in an abusive relationship get made to feel like they're not good enough for anyone.
How do you think this situation would be perceived if Pauline was a man?

Yeah, that's a good comparison and spot on. Pauline likes to beat people down to make herself feel great and powerful in herself

It's weird how a lot seem to fall for it. I imagine Pauline's good at picking up peoples insecurities and using them to her advantage. She completely homes in on what she thinks are peoples faults. A bit like a Psychopath does.

Jale has been bullied, yes. Pauline started it and then a succession of other people took up the cause. Helen is good at it, she's done it before. As someone with previous experience of bullying, I have to say I recognise what's happening with a certain amount of horror.
I was disappointed to see someone say that Jale isn't being bullied because she "gives as good as she gets". Like, if you have a modicum of fight in you, people have free reign to treat you really badly because it doesn't look like it hurts you. I bet when I was at school there were people who said, she's not being bullied, she's not broken enough yet.

Unfortuneatly we don't know why they have such a bad reaction to her as we have seen no reason.
Obviously Jale is doing a lot of stuff that's annoying everyone but the show is not showing this in the edit.
Lets be honest a bully/race gate is needed for ratings sake so that's what were getting in the highlight package.
Helen though? No edit needed. Pure ****.

Playing the victim would refer to completely milking it with routine crying in the diary room, seeming bothered by the comments and just generally acting helpless. Jale is just sat there unbothered. She seems more irritated than anything
I know we have no live feed and we're going by what we've been shown but if anything surely they'd show us more of Jale acting so hard done by if they want to edit it that way. Not everyone runs their mouth off when being attacked, especially when it's out of nowhere and in the heat of the moment

"I'm being treated like a dartboard.” And "everyone treats me like I'm to blame for everything in here.” When if she really felt that way why not just stand up to them? If they tried to do anything to her in the house they would be thrown out, even on Ch5.

She said Good Morning to Toya , who completely ignored her before she went out and had a cigarette , she has also said that when she sits with her friends the people who hate her won't approach any of them so she is giving people space so everyone can mingle and no one gets isolated just because they are friends with her.

If she was playing the victim she would be in the diary room in tears every 5 minutes and also telling as many people as would listen that she feels she is being picked on.Also she said very early on she didn't want to get upset about Pauline or Helen because that would make her look like a victim and she didn't want that to be the case.

Would you stand up to Helen and Pauline and Toya and by default then Ash and Steven? Because it wouldn't be just one of them it would be them all?
The people she is friends with would immediately be drawn into taking sides and that is a risk because she can't guarantee what side they would take.Sometimes it's better not to react to a situation impulsively , you are more likely to say and do things you regret .
