A camera follows you around all day. At the end of the day, they edit the footage down to 15 minutes, including all the negative expressions, statements and actions you have done throughout the day. Then, they show this to millions of people.
No doubt, you wouldn't come across looking very good. But what they didn't see is you helping an old woman across the road, giving money to an homeless man, and all your humanitarian efforts.
Despite this, people start calling you names like 'vindictive', 'nasty', 'fool' and all the other negative synonyms under the sun. But no matter what good you do, or how nice of a person you are, you will always be the negative person the footage made you out to be.
And this is why I don't call any housemates such names. Because I don't know them. All I know of them is a couple of minutes out of every day.
Of course, I can dislike the person and share my opinion, but I'm not going to go as far as to call this person nasty or vindictive.
And this is why I loved live feed, we really got to see what each and every housemate was really like.
PS. In before someone says 'but that's what they signed up for'. Yes, yes the did and I would not deny that for a second. I'm just explaining that some comments maybe go a little too far?
For instance, Pauline. Pauline is a mother, grandma, and friend to many people. I don't think it's fair that she is getting the hate she is getting when no one really knows her. If you don't agree, then that's fine.
Yes we know all this and we do get more updates throughout the day on twitter, youtube and the official site but anyway I'm not getting the point of your thread? you have already posted all this in a thread before, you don't call housemates names but others do, if you don't like it don't read it.

Pauline entered Big Brother, she has put herself into that process to be nominated and possibly evicted. To be filmed being a bitch, having it shown on TV and judged by the viewers.
Stop trying to make her out to be a poor little victim.

So if someone goes out and murders someone at 4pm but for the previous 6 hours helped out at the local dogs home, its ok and we should just forget? That is some strange logic.

And likewise, someone might help an old lady across the street one moment and an hour later beat someone up for being gay. Does that mean they are nice for helping the old lady? The argument is flawed both ways, so people make assessments based on what they see and hear.
Yes we only see parts but we do see body language and facial expression which show a great deal about their character.
It's quite insulting that you think people don't realise this!

Yes it is. Behaviour is not excused purely because it's an edit.
If the housemates all get along swimmingly throughout a day and have a huge fight in the evening, only showing the fight in the edit doesn't make a difference. They still fought.

Why so pedantic? I could do the same and say there is a space after 'It's'
What your saying is very valid but it is fundamentally flawed as nothing can be done to change what is.

My cousin's gynaecologist's sister went to school with Pauline's auntie and she said that Pauline is exactly like this in real life..

Ok... read that post back yourself. You just compared a 49 year old woman arguing with others on an entertainment programme to a dog-loving murderer. Ridiculous.
