It's being blown out of proportion. It wasn't a good move on her behalf but she isn't anywhere near Pauline or Helen levels yet :umm2:

I still like Jale but feel she has really let Chris down.
She knows the rest of the group are going to lynch him when they find out he is the power housemate & she knows what that's like in there.
She had no intention of keeping it a secret.

This is Jale who knows very well what it's like to be got at by the whole house. She also knows they're all paranoid as hell and are taking everything personally. She made the whole situation completely about herself and seemed to have no thought or consideration how Chris might be feeling. She even went as far to say as she's being 'held hostage' by him. Notice how she instantly got Christopher involved as well in the bathroom so it didn't seem like it was just her. He being a HM who a lot of them find fairly annoying.
Jale is just as shallow and self-centred as the rest of them and I'm not surprised people have gone off her after her atrocious behaviour tonight :idc:

I voted no and I still like her but I am disappointed that she didn't sleep on it as she said she would and that also she didn't pre-warn both Christopher and Chris before she went and said anything.
She was upfront in saying she cannot lie,(I hate it when people say that as at some time proabably near all people can), and had to get this out but any more of this from Jale and I feel she will lose support.

In fairness Chris was told by bb not to reveal he was power housemate, so he had to lie. We already know he is not comfortable with this, but he has stuck to was was asked of him. I feel Jale let him down.

BB also did suggest that Jale forget what she had heard outside too.
I know what it is like to have some news you shouldn't reveal for a time but it is so hard not to do so.
However she knows the kind of house this is and how others can turn on you,so she has possibly put Chris in a very difficult position and he,to be fair, has done nothing to her at all.
I do still like her and can let this incident pass this time.

She is gone way down in my estimation and list of housemates rankings tonight. She should have stayed true to her word. She told Chris she wouldn't tell anyone and she did. If she had any intention of telling people she could have told Chris she felt she HAD to tell them as many of them had suspected SHE was the power housemate. Very disappointed in her. I would still give her a chance though. Much more vile housemates in there and Toya is slipping way down the list also

I agree. She would have to do a lot more to catch up with the awfulness of Pauline and Helen.
I kind of think it is 'even - steven's' with Chris and Jale. He seemed to be the one closest to her in the house yet he never tackled Helen about bullying her and she told him she wouldn't say anything about what she heard in the garden and she did. It's 1-1 all there.
Chris and Jale are still my faves along with Matthew.

Way to ruin your own game over something so dumb Jale.
you didn't see christopher freaking out about it like jale did, i felt she did it to get attention and to also hopefully deflect the current negativity she gets from housemates on to chris instead

She's just another Wolfy
....hmmm not really, she's had such a hard time in there and been isolated etc and ok what she did wasn't great but maybe she did it to ingratiate herself with the 'in crowd' and that's kind of understandable as well..there are people in there who have behaved far worse than her so I don't think it should be...ughhh, one strike and you're out Jale...
..I also think it shows that she's not the 'pity me' housemate, she has a balance to her character but she's not showing anything like the meanness of some of the other housemates...

Chris has been a good friend to her and there was no need for her to blab. Ugh.
She was a bitch. "I'm not going to tell anyone." she said, trying to act all dramatic and like a saint. Then about an hour later. "I don't know what to do, DO NOT TELL ME WHAT TO DO CHRIS." and then finally she just told Danielle and Ashleigh. If I was Chris I'd ask her what her ****ing problem is. I get that she's being blamed for being the power housemate and Chris is getting away scot free but why say she was going to keep it a secret in the first place?

Also she went totally over the top, like it was the biggest thing ever & Chris was "making" her shut up.

It didn't come as a surprise to Chris that Jale told Daneille and Ashleigh. He said in the diary room that she was 'emotionally weak' and he was expecting her to tell someone. Chris is in there with her 24/7 and seems to be a good judge of character. That would explain also why she didn't stand up to being bullied.
It's not as if she told the whole house - she just told those who she was closest to. You'd think she had killed someone the way she is now being vilified. I'm not so fickle as to damn her for one bad judgement. I may yet go off her but it will take more than one mistake...

I will say that I was let down by Jale last night but I do agree it was just a silly thing she did, nothing major.
I think some people are using it to somehow justify her being bullied in the past week.
Nothing can make what Pauline & her gang did look anything but nasty & unacceptable.
I do feel that maybe now Jale should start to stand up for herself a bit more.

yeah, I have to say it HAS made me go off her, I didnt like her when she went in, and then of course no one likes to see someone treated badly so I felt sorry for her and also thought she was handling the abuse well...
BUT...I really like Chris, and she did throw him to the lions there, as others have said, she knows what its like in there...and as Chris himself said, she had something she could use to ingratiate herself more into the house and she didnt hesitate...
I love Chris and for that reason alone, I now want Jale out on Friday

Hello Iggy, welcome to the forum.
Hey Livia, its nice to be here
I also wanted to add that when she was talling Ashleigh and Danielle, she totally LIED saying that when she told Chris she wouldnt say anything he responded with ''thanks I appriciate that''
why didnt she tell them that Chris had said ''thats not true''

Chris is my fave HM but that doesn't mean I automatically dislike someone if they make a bad judgement that involves him. I wouldn't call Danielle and Ashleigh 'lions' exactly...
Tell me, do you think Chris was right not to stand up for Jale when she was being bullied? He was the only male that she was friends with really. Maybe she feels she doesn't have to loyal to him for that reason.
I would have liked him to have tackled Helen and Pauline about it, but it didn't put me off him that he didn't. As I say...one bad judgement call....
Anyway, welcome to the fray Iggy! :wavey:
Point taken...when it comes to Chris not standing up to Helen etc, I guess I had never thought of that..perhaps he should but there is a difference between not getting involved and direct;ly causing an action...
and Danielle and Ashleigh are not the lions, but we all know even out here in the real world, you tell one person something many others will know in a matter of minutes, she knew when she told Ashl and Danni that it was going to go all over the house...
Yeah, a bad judgement call it was, but it was an action to make herself more popular..thats what I think anyway :)

yes it is understandable, and although Id like to think I wouldnt, I may have done the same myself, its a strong pull to be liked and accepted and a part fo the in crowd....very powerful...

Great post jet.
I am more disappointed with her than seeing it as being nasty.
She has had a rough ride in there so far, I am prepared to wait and see a lot more before I would myself change my view of her, she is one of my top 2 female housemates and there she stays for now.
Definitely!!...Can't say that she was particularly 'likeable' before...but the way that she showed that she was willing to throw one of the very-few hm's that has treated her fairly "under the bus" in order to try and garner a few brownie-points from the mob, has made me put her a lot higher on my siht-list!!....Nasty and calculating!!

Since when were Danielle and Ashleigh a 'mob'?
Since when were Danielle and Ashleigh a 'mob'?
They've both been up Paulines backside all the way through the series...so even if you consider their wall-flower act makes them different from the gobby ones...do you really think that Jale thought that it would go no further??? :smug: ...so yes!..."the mob" was right!
Will.
18-06-2014, 03:02 PM
Why are people taken this so seriously, she hasn't been rude or nasty, she has just got something off her chest, which she found it hard not to keep a secret. Anyway she told 2 housemates that won't kick off or probably tell anyone. Jale ha been through a lot of bullying in that house and probably is a bit of an emotional wreck.
