Ofcom has received 1500 complaints over Helen and Pauline

The latest series of Big Brother has received over 1,500 complaints over bullying.

Fans were concerned for Jale Karaturp’s wellbeing after seeing former escort Helen Wood and Pauline Bennett gang up on her, following complaints Big Brother could face an inquiry.

Helen, 27, branded Jale a “slug” and also previously called her "a massive ferret face".

Some viewers said they ganged up on Jale, 33, as part of a hate campaign.

Regulators Ofcom will look into complaints and decide whether to launch a full investigation.

The reality series is no stranger to bullying controversies and the latest series has already seen it’s fair share of complaints.

Channel 5 declined to comment last night.

With more than 1,500 complaints this is among the highest number since what happened with Shilpa Shetty, Jade Goody, S Club singer Jo O'Meara and model Danielle Lloyd seven years ago.

Recently over 100 complaints were made in response to Helen telling strict Catholic glamour model Danielle McMahon to "stop s******* Jesus".

That's no reflection on the show though it just shows how sad and pc the viewing public have become.

BB6 content was far worse at this point in the show.
