Do you think Ash and Steven think their chances of staying are higher by having a showmance.

Neither of them look like going into full blown showmances
Vicky.

Ash most definitely is, as he felt the need to say something might happen IF he stays

All that money keeps Kim focussed.
She'll be piercing holes in the condoms for those child support payments.

What money, he has a business with a million turnover not profit, that's pretty small. She's gonna be pretty disappointed!

Yeah, more Steven than Ash.

Both likely are for me, Steven is almost making me feel sick with what he comes out with.

Yes but also because they'd probably bore themselves to death if they didn't have a girl to chase after

No and I don't actually think anyone ever does on Big Brother, we get these cynical accusations every year but I never see it like that  I really don't think any of them truly think it through like that, I mean if you're living with some people 24/7 that's a lot quicker time to get more attached to someone than in the outside world

To be fair she either looks utterly repulsed or completely over it all the time.

If they ARE using it to stay they are totally thick ( I kinda know they are anyway) because Winstons showmance with Tamara didn't save her skinny ass now did it

Again I still don't think they were deliberately set up as a 'showmance'? I mean it'd be a pretty stupid idea really also because they don't ever seem to be popular, especially not on here (I actually couldn't care less personally, Ziggy and Chanelle was ****ing hilarious and love triangles can often provide tonnes of drama) so I'm not sure what the point in starting one would be
I think people are too cynical, I mean most housemates are always complaining about people 'playing the game' or being 'fake' when it's a gameshow so clearly they don't have those kind of ideas in their head so why would they want to start up a fake romance? I just don't buy it personally, it's either genuine because of how much time they have to spend with each other or it's just cause they're horny
Marsh.

Ziggy and Channelle was clearly a case of Ziggy getting the horn, having his way with her and then being unable to avoid her calls.

Ziggy and channelle was funny but it was still fake as ****. Most of the girls clearly wanted to get into a showmance from day one and Channelle snatched the first boy in there.
Ziggy was a massive game player he obviously found channel quit annoying most of the time. Being with channelle was part of his game.(maybe a bit because he's horny)

They are definitely engaging in it to lengthen their stay because theyve both stepped it up as soon as they were nominated.

Ziggy was the awful self-pitying, audience-manipulating, show-ruining monster archetype that then led to Darnell, Siavash, John James, and all culminated with ****ing Aaron. His gameplan was ridiculous transparent and he definitely planned on riding Chanelle out for what she's worth and then tossing her aside afterwards. He's arrogant and smug and obviously gets off on stuff like that. However, even though Chanelle was the best candidate for this type of showmance he didn't factor in that she's ****ing mental so it was a huge serving of karma to watch him squirm around after he bit off way more than he could chew. I think Chanelle's intentions were sincere, but Ziggy was as cynical as ever and paid for it with his sanity. On the other hand, I think Ashleigh and Luke S were both equally cynical about it and by the end of it if they really could've had their way, she would've been ****ing Conor and he would've been ****ing Lauren.
As for Ash and Steven, I'm not entirely sure yet. Still too early to tell.
..or maybe showermance..?...

possibly steven, because he's been highlighting the fact he's really into kimberly a lot more for the past couple of days. ash has already said that he doesn't want to make it awkward with helen so he's not going to make a move anyway.

Notice how these little showmances are tending to pop up when the individuals concerned are up for eviction?

Not sure why the question is limited to the guys. Helen has a free pass, but Kim doesn't. She's as keen to invent a storyline for herself as anyone else.
