Didn't they just win £583? :o
Back in the day im sure a luxury shopping budget was £70 to £150 or something.
£583 is a ridiculous amount especially when they cant buy alcohol anymore lol.

It had a cap of €300 so thats what they received, thats around the average. I was watching an episode of BB7 not to long ago were the luxury budget was something like €318 and the basic was €78.
Since when can't they buy alcohol on the shopping, I thought they were aloud spend 15% on alcohol

Alcohol is only provided at BB's discretion these days I think.
You never really see them ordering gallons of cider anymore since BB pussyed out and wanted to only give the housemates the recommended alcohol units set by the government.
I don't know how other shows like Geordie Shore get away with all the bing drinking yet BB would get a **** load of complaints, they pretty much get the same ratings now anyway so its the same amount of people there to complain.

They seem to be getting a fair amount of beer and wine this year, there was actually an article on one of the fansites about how they've been provided with drink every night.
As far as I know the producers can't provide them with as much alcohol after fight night.
There's 15 of them though so it only works out at £38.86 each, for a luxury budget that actually sounds crap.
Also are you sure they won £583? I thought that was just the amount they made in the task (to beat the figure in the envelope)

OT, but Steven looks like he's loaded half the time. Helen as well.
Yeah, spread out over that many people it's really not that great. I do want them to fail next weeks though.

So did I, £583 was the profit they made on the task. If they met or excised BB's target profit of £300 they would win the luxury food budget. I don't think their budget is actually £853?

They made it unnecessarily confusing by using the concept of money as a scorecard for the task. They should have said you get a point for each omelette you make with your mouth, rather than five pounds that you won't actually receive on the shopping budget.

Well as a single person, I've spent a staggering £120 on food and refreshments this week alone and I am not talking alcohol.

I'm single, living alone and spend around £90-£100 every 3 weeks or so. For fifteen people it is not a huge amount.
