Joleon Lescott joins West Bromwich Albion on free transfer from Manchester City to become Alan Irvine's first signing
- Lescott signs two-year deal at The Hawthorns, with the option of another
- The 31-year-old defender left City when his contract expired last season
- Lescott will officially become a Baggies player on July 1
- He is new West Brom manager Alan Irvine's first signing for the club
- Irvine hopes to pursue deal for Lescott's ex-City team-mate Jack Rodwell



No shock, always knew he was dodgy when he played his last game for Everton against Arsenal and was personally responsible for at least 4 of 7 goals they let in :joker:

There were big talks he was joining Hull, I thought that would have been a more appealing move with Europa league to play in, but he's a midlands lad and probably wanted to go back to an area he's familiar with.

Wolves fans wont be happy with him.

Done well to get him really, wouldn't go near West Brom with a barge pole if I was a player when there was probs other teams interested in him as well, we nearly signed him in January

true, but he's obviously low on confidence and wants first team football
