View Full Version : Winston Anyone else think last night he showed his true personality?

Did anyone else change their opinion of Winston last night? I felt like I saw the real side of him, Toya was right she calculated exactly what would happen, whos true colours would come out by splitting up "the gang" which Ash had called his "crew" and had the audacity to say this like they were better than anyone else in there.
His dumb act seem to slip and Toya mocking it was hilarious "err im Winston du uh duh" HAHA.
Im probably in the minority who sees it but does anyone else think Winstons been putting on this fake act this whole time and it took him to be nominated to have a tantrum? He looked like he was holding back a lot aswell trying to save face.

What personality ? hes one of the fakest hm8s ever

Yeah for sure, loved her choices so much, she really shook things up in there and it was much needed, great change to the way it usually goes in there, the popular kids out number the individuals and we're forced to evict them week after week. Pity it'll probably be Toya who goes though :(

It changed my opinion of him...a bit. Was good to see him stick up for himself. But he is so thick and slow with comebacks.
When he talks, or when he's about to you can see the cogs of his brain firing up and your sat there looking at him waiting for what he's gonna say.

I hate the saying "Did he/she show their real side"
He's been exactly the same guy throughout the two weeks, he's been calm and hes been having a good laugh in the house.. You can't class one moment where he's been annoyed/angry and got into an argument as someones real side.. that goes for the rest of the housemates too.

I don't get the impression that there is an aggressive bone in his body, let alone against women.
I hate the attitude where people say 'you can't talk like that to a woman'. Well, sorry, if she's mouthing off at me she's gonna get a mouthful back.

Who said he was aggressive or anything about his actions towards women?
That's not what the threads about please don't bring the annoying sexism, aggression talk we get every year into this thread its going to take it into a sexism debate which this is not about.
Its just about him showing a different side and not him being aggressive or the fact his argument was with a woman.
Please, please lets not go down that route.

I thought this was about him arguing with Toya, and Danielle saying 'you can't talk to a woman like that'

No ones saying hes bad person.
Just acknowledging his mannerisms, I felt he was about to blow but stopped himself to save face seeing as nominations are coming up. It was very calculated and he almost showed a very bad side to him.
Im telling you his character hes created will slip soon, its going to be hard to keep up this dumb act for 70 odd days.
I thought he was a stock broker btw? Surely that involves having some intelligence.

Yes, I think the cheeky chappie mask slipped for a while. I know everyone gets angry, but just the way he changed to being quite aggressive (words wise) and stuff kinda says to me that thats how he usually is

I said he almost showed a bad side to himself so I didn't say he was a bad person did I I don't see the point of quoting that.
And me saying I don't think he is a nice person I didn't outright say that.
Im just pointing out he has a totally different side to him which isn't this whole dumb, mr nice guy persona and he may not be genuine.
Not going to lie it does do my head in when people misunderstand my posts and then quote something to "prove me wrong" which doesn't do that in the slightest.
I and others in this thread felt like there was something there that showed a different side to him which was itching to come out, I wouldn't call his behaviour nervousness I would say it was more of him trying to reel himself in and not to blow up and destroy the dumb Winston act.

No Toya would test the patience of a saint. It was about time someone put her in her place. She's the biggest bully in the house. The way she mocked Winston shows how pathetic and childish she is. She then played the 'men never talk to me that way' and yet she has a YouTube blog running men down...hypocrite!

He seemed like he was influenced by his friends speaking up and used that as a way to join in and let his frustration out which to me comes across as someone who isn't brave enough to take on someone by himself and maybe isn't used to it. He comes across immature and pretty stupid but we all knew that before last night. All i learnt from him last nights episode is that he panics during confrontations and uses insulting words as his way to get to someone rather than personal insults by the way they act or something they've done in the past.
I wouldn't class myself as a fan of him at all.. But the guy had no idea what to say during the argument. He doesn't strike me as someone who sits there and listens to other peoples conversations whilst building up his own views and opinions on housemates. Toya thrives of that, she knew exactly what to say during the argument, she has bad things to say about people already stored up just waiting to come out. Winston is definitely misunderstood in there.

Yeah, nobody could have expected all 3 of them to suddenly pipe up and have a go at her so she wouldn't have been prepared.. but she thrives of bitching, she sits there and talks about housemates a lot & thinks about them regularly.. she has very strong opinions on every housemate which then comes as a strength to her when arguments do finally come around. I think Winston is the complete opposite, he's a bit of a wuss and his only arguments towards her were "do one" and "**** off".. if i was on the end of an argument i'd rather be told to do one than have someone insult me or embarrass me in front of everyone like Toya did. Neither came away from the argument well in my opinion, i just think hes very misunderstood at this stage.. if he continues to start bickering, arguing and bitching from now on then that will definitely be classed as showing his true personality and real side, but from one very weak argument it's harsh to put that kind of label on someone.

..yeah but as Toya said in the chat with Helen, they all bitch..bitching just relieves some of the boredon and confinement in the house I guess so I also wouldn't really label Toya for being bitchy but more for her behaviour toward other people and I know that isn't great at all with her communication but I don't see her as being a 'nasty' person at all...and I agree that no one came away from the argument 'looking good' as such, it was more who looked the worst or the most in the wrong and for me it was the guys because Toya was just being how she always was and so maybe there was no surprises there but the guys had previously looked ok and a reasonable 'gang' but the whole situation of being up for eviction and how they took it and how they spoke to her wasn't great at all....I haven't put a 'label' on him by the way or any of them..I've just changed my opinion of them or maybe I should say that I've finally got an opinion which I hadn't really before...
