... do you ever pick off your nail polish...?
I have a really bad habit of doing that. I have nail polish remover, but I'll sit and peel/pick it off. I do it when I'm driving too, then it's all skanky looking til I get home and can remove the rest..
Am I alone in this nasty habit?

I do and it's the main reason I wear nail varnish as little as possible, it looks so manky

When I helped my mum do her Avon rep. stuff I used to help myself to a bit of nail varnish just so I could remove it with...er...remover... just because they smell sf good  (also they were glittery, so)

I don't pick it off but 'cos of my job the ends of my nail polish chips off and instead off removing it and putting a new colour on I just top up the ends to match...this means that when I eventually take it off it takes me about an hour 'cos I have about 5 layers of polish to take off...grim, i know..

I've never heard of that. Is that like the gel stuff? I've seen the 'sensationail' stuff at work, and it's supposed to be a lasting finish, but I'd probably rather get it done by a nail tech so that it's nice and even. :)

How long did you keep it on before removing it? You'd be a good Avon rep actually.. ;)

I have a major issue with people picking their nose haha.. it's the worst for me..

Shellac is a type of gel nail varnish, you have a manicure in the usual way, but each coat is hardened under a UV lamp for a few seconds, dries instantly as well so no smudging and it does last at least 14 days with no chipping, its very shiny as, or glittery if you want glitter, costs around 20.00 quid to have done and you have to have it removed professionally, though the last time I had it done I peeled it off myself once it started to chip.
