So little Diary Room this year so far...

Any other year the DR played an important part in us getting to know the HM's better, away from the atmosphere of the house. Whenever something interesting went on, for example an argument - we got to hear the viewpoints of various HM's, which gave us a better understanding of what went on and how they each responded to it. Being questioned by BB in the DR gave us a good indication of the HM's characters and any thoughts they were not revealing in the house.
BB isn't calling people to the DR very much for reactions or 'talks' this year - or if they are it's not being shown. Neither are the HM's going there just to chat as much as they used to.
I think that is why I don't feel I 'know' the HM's as much this year.
Anyone feel the same?

Is that really anything new? Even in BB11 when there was last a proper live stream HMs didn't get into the DR much. And on CH5 it's even less about the individual HMs and more about the storylines.

It's used mainly as a "talking head" segment like on US reality shows.
