I think both Danielle and Steven have been schooled by Dexter (or the same person that schooled Dexter too) in exactly what to say to get on the show, how to act whilst there etc..

It's just too much of a coincidence that the two housemates that know him have said so much about their lives that we are finding out to be bull****, when it comes to Danielle I don't believe a word of what she says about anything even her parents where in the paper here saying yes she is a catholic but her views aren't what she was brought up with, they aren't the same views as the rest of her family.
