View Full Version : Big Brother 2 quotes and pictures - quiz 1
James

See as we all appear to be nostalgic for Big Brother 2...
I thought I'd start a new quiz. (let's see if it works)
I'll put a picture up and you have to guess what the person is saying. It'll be a pretty well known quote and all the pictures are from the DVD.
For example.
is Helen saying 'I like blinkin' I do'
If anyone else has any photos for this you can put them up on this thread and ask the question.
Here's the first then. What's Dean saying?
:conf:
Fantastic idea, James. :hello:
I think Dean is uttering his famous "wafer thin" line in this pic. :spin:
If I'm right, I'm quite happy for you to post the next picture.
James
22-01-2003, 07:44 PM
Well done Kaz. You're right.
On the DVD the quote is
'To talk about Jennifer Lopez or to sing songs from the charts is climbing down.', 'Wafer thin', 'It's beneath me!'
Here's another.
What's he saying?
rachb
22-01-2003, 08:58 PM
I think he's saying:
just chill ya boots
:dance::wavey::wavey::wavey:
James
22-01-2003, 09:06 PM
That's correct. Well done rachb.
:hugesmile::dance::thumbs::hello::dazzler::spin2:: spin::bouncy::colour:
What's Brian saying here?
rachb
22-01-2003, 09:08 PM
I like this james its great:elephant::elephant:
I think this one is:
hold me bubble:dance::dance::dance:
James
22-01-2003, 09:14 PM
Nice one rachb. Two in a row.
:hugesmile::dance::thumbs::hello::dazzler::spin2:: spin::bouncy::colour:
I'm not looking for an exact quote here. Just who Brian is talking about.

Give this one a go.
susieq
22-01-2003, 09:26 PM
Isn't that the 'I don't think there are any cameras on me actually cutting hair at the moment'?
I think Paul sweetly asked 'Apart from that one in front of us'?
This must be the 'There's no cameras on us as I cut your hair' comment that Helen said while looking directly into the camera behind the mirror
:flower:
James
22-01-2003, 09:37 PM
Well you're both right susieq and LEE.
:hugesmile::dance::thumbs::hello::dazzler::spin2:: spin::bouncy::colour:
But susieq was quicker on the buzzer.
So double well done.
Maybe I should be keeping score or something. :conf:
If any of you have got any pics please put them up here, you don't have to get one right or anything.
OK. Added twist. Whoever gets this one right, gets to choose the subject of the next picture.
(can you tell that I'm making this up as I go along )

James
23-01-2003, 07:33 PM
Narinder it is.

How about one of Josh this time?
James
26-01-2003, 05:01 PM
I've fast-forwarded through the DVD and Josh is only on it about 5 times!
I'd better not use his funniest line though. Hehe.:joker::shocked::joker::laugh:
This was from the soap opera when Josh was pretending to be Brian meeting himself.
He says:
Hi Josh, nice tan, shame about the wrinkles. Clothes are ok, shame about the face. You're pungent, you're vile and we have nothing in common and I'm not changing rooms for anybody.
THE SOAP OPERA (http://www.tte19.fsnet.co.uk/all_soapopera.wav)
This is quite a long clip so it is probably better to download it. To do this right click on it and select 'Save Target as'

Here's a typically blunt Narinder quote from the diary room:
Mairi
26-01-2003, 05:44 PM
Was this when Narinder said "I could have nominated at least 6 people in here"?
I am SO enjoying this thread, James.

What a pile of idiots they were
I mean, look how close were they to the IPS, and they didn't even ask for an autograph.
I would have made MUCH better use of that opportunity than to chant "We got into the Big brother ho-ouse" - which apparently they did!

No, it's something else.
It's related to a task.
I do believe it was after the 'Paddy Task'.

Yeah that's the gist of it ROB.
Well done.
Apparently in October 2001, Elizabeth found her island:
I arrived distracted by 'stuff' in the UK and left a strong and vibrant, clear headed woman. I was on Big Brother this summer and have just enjoyed 2 weeks in the company of a diverse bunch. Thanks to all involved and for forgetting that I was Elizabeth from BB, I think I became Elizabeth with the pink sarong (I much prefer this!). Wholly recommended to all. To Tony Oct 3rd - Skyros and Atsitsa are what you make it, but I think everyone takes away something special, even the most hardened cynics! A big thank you to the staff, I miss those welcome bashee like calls, oh also the drumming, oh and the food, oh and the sea, and the dawn and the laughter...I could go on and on and on! I'm smiling as I think of it Elizabethx

How relieved she must have been that they didn't think of her as Elizabeth from BB!!
I wonder how many times she reminded them of this before spelling it out in the guestbook, just in case they had forgotten....
So, a greek Island. I was in Greece that very week. IMAGINE how pleased she would have been to bump into me.

If I can chip in, There must be some good memorable quotes from the eviction interviews with Davina McCall :conf:
I'm sure there are, Sticks - but I fear it might be a bit difficult to tell what they are just from a picture of Davina and the evictee sitting there chatting!
Plus the eviction interviews weren't shown on the DVD or BBRM (except Narinder's for some odd reason).
I'm sure if it is feasible though, James is your chap.

You might need a clue: it's the night Paul was evicted.
A better clue is in order here:
This was when Davina was interviewing Helen and Paul's friends and family. Helen's mum had just said something to Davina.
Does that jog any of your memories?
Mairi
20-02-2003, 11:35 AM
In the picture, Stuart was asking Brian if he wouldn't mind having a look at his eye as he thought he had something in it.
He certainly did have something in his eyes, trick cat's eyes lenses.
I still remember Brian's "scream"!!
:joker:
James
21-02-2003, 08:35 PM
Yeah, that's it - sorry for not making the question clearer.
Who's it to be next then?
Re: the Davina quote. I think that it's a nearly impossible one, so here another clue:
Helen's mum, Liz, had just said, 'If you look at them, as they walk around the house, their eyes follow each other'.
What did Davina say next?

The sequence went something like this:
And Mr Motivator.
The psychologist Geoffrey Beattie said those two pictures represented Helen and Amma respectively but I think he got it wrong maybe. Didn't Narinder mean Paul and Helen?

Nope, not the nine-acre farm (http://www.nineacrefarm.com/) statement.
Something to do with designer labels.
Don't know the exact conversation, but was it something to do with the fact that Stuart said he had paid thousands of pounds for a designer jumper?
