Due to their incredibly strong personalities and power positions (Pauline as PH, Helen as immune until final) that became apparent right off the bat.
They certainly fit BB's bill as the perfect housemates for a 'Power Trip' edition (as the promo with Emma & Rylan stated: "Everyone's so nice nowadays" and they want the ruthless, the nasty)
They proved themselves as a strong presence in the show almost immediately, with Pauline voted as 'the public's favorite' and given power and immunity - and Helen who was granted a pass to the final on Day 2. Not to mention, before even entering the house, both had a quasi-celebrity status.
Both have dominated and heavily influenced the social dynamic of the house during their stay. Pauline and Helen formed cliques and publicly outcasted other members of the group in a vocal and consistent manner (targeting Jale, Christopher, Danielle, and others - who then became 'outcasts').
Their behavior has dramatically impacted the house dynamics, and have become the most discussed housemates both inside and outside of the house.
Now, of course, Pauline is gone. However, Helen and her essentially indestructible presence is still in the house, being the core perpetrator of the general mood of the house.
Do you think BB will make the effort to revoke Helen's pass, if the negative mood and stark social divisions continue on to the dismay of viewers? Or is that too much production meddling?
In my opinion, the pass was kind of a bad idea in the first place, clearly not one that was well thought out. Perhaps they could have prepared for this though, and planned a twist from the start that could potentially revoke it.
