I just read this sad news on the BBFans forum. It was posted by Ray (of BB4) back on September 4th :

"Hi guys,

I know alot of you think Cam as a friend so just to let you know that after a short illness, Cameron's dad unfortunately passed away today.
I know our thoughts are with him and the rest of his family which are very close.
