The current trend Big Brother is setting is the mediation of certain housemates turning them into stock characters such as panto villains (Pauline, Toya prime examples) and the recent compression of what we see of Ashleigh isn't doing her any favours, Big Brother aren't showing anything positive about the girl which in a 24 hour span I find hard to believe and chose only to show other housemates complaining about the girl, making it fit their 'narrative'. With how it's going, Ashleigh is the next hate figure and next girl out.

However, myself I am a huge Ashleigh fan and the majority of people aren't realising she is stuck in a house with 12 people and only finds 1 a source of comfort and trust. Imagine yourself being isolated in a house where the majority of characters are against you and are clearly exaggerated, false beings there to propel them into a mere 15 minutes of fame.

As much as I like Mark and even Danielle, their reasons of being on the show are clear and their hyper-exaggerated qualities are exhausting to watch at times whereas Ashleigh is true to herself and values, and her reason for being on the reality show remaining questionable making her more complex and intriguing.

"Why doesn't she voice her opinion?" I think the girl does voice her opinion, she only finds solace in Danielle and vents to her but mainly Big Brother, its clear she lacks trust with other housemates which I find is a wise move. She hasn't started any arguments as she knows it's a bad feature to pluck an argument and roll with it (Helen and truth or dare gate) but she makes her opinions known, such as the comments in the Diary Room with all the girls where she was clearly disagreeing with Helen etc.

"She's two faced" I haven't seen any evidence of Ashleigh being two faced, she has never tried to impress any of the housemates she doesn't get along with and even when discussing Kimberly with Danielle in the pod when they were interrupted by her she stuck with herself without starting a commotion.

As the programme ended tonight, we saw the girl is much more clued up than the majority of the housemates and she is playing the game. She's playing the game the right way, manipulating other housemates by necessary means. No falseness, no lies, no deceit.

Completely agree with the OP. I wouldn't even say I like Ashleigh that much myself but she's getting way too much stick on here and from some of the housemates. Spot on! :clap1:

I loved her at the start, she was pretty and at least she didn't bitch. Now I really really cant stand her. Tonights show showed her miserable face and horrible bitching with Danielle. She is a young girl she should be able to mingle with the rest and have fun. If she dislikes them as much as she said she did she knows where the door is. Very disappointed in her.

She is coming across as very negative which is a shame because I genuinely think it's just because she doesn't like Helen and the way she's behaved, I can empathize with that as I don't think I could pretend to like someone like her for the sake of it either

All you can do with a monster like Ashleigh is ignore her.

Ashleigh & Danielle have isolated themselves. So she doesnt like Helen, there are many in the house who she could be having a good time with but she has been dragged into the miserable bitching set up with Danielle. Having a bf & disliking one HM does not stop you talking and a having a laugh with other HM's. If it does then she should not be in the house imo. She needs to get away from Danielle more, relax and enjoy the experience.

The only monster in that house is Helen.

I think that my issue with her is that she comes across as Toya's little puppy dog. Ashleigh never really disliked anyone in the house until she came under Toya's wing. It was then that she started to dislike anyone that Toya disliked. (The Lads, Helen, Jale, Kim) She based all of her opinions of people off of what Toya felt about them. (Like a dog) It basically seems as if she has no mind of her own and she pretty much wants to finish the mission that Toya her master started.

Get the Bitch out the house. (You see what I did there)

She needs to learn to make effort to get to know people rather than just judge and bitch about them from the sidelines

Even if you hated someone in there though you would make an effort with the other 11 housemates and not isolate yourself.
