View Full Version : Does Ashleigh bring Danielle down?

Like, Danielle looked like she was enjoying the strip for a bit whilst Ashleigh had a face like a slapped arse... and a few nights back when Danielle had a few drinks and was conversing with everybody, she just seems to be more of a laugh when Ashleigh isn't around
Yeah she doesn't like Danielle mixing with others
Jake.

I think she could be a bit selfish with her

I think Ashleigh dreads being on her own, if Dani goes back with Kim and in turn welcomed into the cool gang, Ashleigh would have no one. So I can understand her being very protective over her.

Why would she enjoy it as she dislikes all those men

Yes,it looked that way to me too ,and when she was chatting to Kimberly Ashleigh butted in and spoilt it.

I did
Well it had nothing to do with them being/not being friends
You can be somebodies friend whilst bringing them down
I don't think she brag Danielle down

I was just thinking about that actually
she also told Danielle only to tell her when she was upset no one else

Totally agree with OP.. She always has a face like a slapped arse.. She should be enjoying herself in there.. It was a laugh-get a grip.. Feel a little sorry for Danielle

Nope. Danielle is the more miserable one imo. And also the more unstable one.
Ashleigh is leading the resistance against Helen and co.

Yes.
It's easy to see, Danielle was having a good time the other night with everyone in the pool, now that Toya is gone, Ashleigh needs to latch onto someone else and shes dragged Danielle to her side (though it didn't take much since they were friends already) and she's making Danielle paranoid, saying she can't trust people like Kim.

Ashleigh and Danielle have been close since day one. And Danielle shouldn't trust Kimberly.
And frankly Ashleigh shouldn't trust Danielle. We all know Danielle either has a screw loose or is an actress.
She is far too controlling with Danielle IMO

I know they have been, thats why I said it wasn't hard for her to latch onto Danielle because they had already established a friendship. I don't see why anyone should trust Ashleigh, she seems to have something nasty and bitchy to say about everyone depending on who she's talking to.

Danielle would be utterly lost without Ashleigh. She'd just been turned into what someone else in the house wants to turn her into.

Ashleigh definitely controls Danielle.
Just look at the situation tonight with Kim.
Danielle would be utterly lost without Ashleigh. She'd just been turned into what someone else in the house wants to turn her into.
Danielle would be joining in with the other housemates without Ashleigh, she has shown signs of wanting to enjoy herself with the others Ashleigh on the other hand wants to completely isolate herself from the group.
Danielle went into the pool with the other housemates, Ashleigh was in the kitchen moaning about girls wearing a bikini in the pool, Danielle was beginning to enjoy herself at the strippers night until she realised Ashleigh was miserable, Danielle was having a private conversation with Kimberly until Ashleigh walked right over and stood there with no manners waiting for Kimberly to move.
Ashleigh is ruining not only her own time in the house but Danielles too, she is also ruining the highlights with constant repetitive bitching and whispering, she is in Big Brother for goodness sake she should embrace her time in the house, spending it having fun with the hm's she does like rather than obsessively bitch about the ones she doesn't.

To me it kind of feels like Ashleigh is holding Danielle back from mixing with the housemates, which is weird giving Danielle's character, you'd think it would be the other way round. IIRC Didn't Danielle want to go and follow Kimberly to see what was happening with Mark but Ashleigh just sat there and Danielle sat back down?

I don't think Ashleigh brought Danielle down over a bloody mary today. But I understand some of you have your favourites and are inreasingly threatened by Ashleigh's growing popularity, so wish to blame everything on Ashleigh. It's quite amusing.

I have no favourites so that's that theory flawed.

You say that but... :nono:

No I say that but nothing, they aren't exactly a likeable bunch are they?
I would rather be watching housemates have fun, play pranks, do interesting tasks, see more DR rants, watch them interacting with each other normally than sit through an hour every night of constant bitchyness and arguments.

In a way yes but I'd rather she did, a divide is far more interesting as a storyline than if they were to integrate and settle their differences?
Also I'm not really surprised she's trying to keep Danielle on side like the Kimberly conversation tonight, she's the only person she has left...if she loses her then that's it. Might be harsh, but she's basically got no other choice than to ensure they don't drift apart.

I prefer the bitchiness and arguments. Always have. Watching people having fun? Having food fights or something? To hell with that.

This is a genuine question Josy cause I'm curious, you say you'd prefer all of that and that's fair enough (you know I disagree obviously but that's a separate discussion :p) but clearly that isn't happening, but you've said in a few threads that you're enjoying this series? So I'm curious as to why? I'd have thought if that's what you want you'd be hating a series like this or at least be a bit indifferent to it all

I think it's about a balance. Divides, arguments, bitching and drama is the main priority because that's what starts the discussions and gives us all things to dissect and ponder over, but I do agree with some people that we need light relief every now and again, so moments like the food fight were quite humorous, the pool party was fun. I definitely wouldn't want more of that than the drama because then there'd be less to talk about and that makes the show less interesting, but it's good to have balanced highlight shows where there's civilised, intellectual conversations and humorous moments. Kinda why I miss the live feed as well cause you got a good balance of both and it made you more invested in the drama and emerging divides when they did happen.
But yeah, this series has definitely been more heavy on drama and bitching and I think that's a good thing, we've had four solid weeks almost of loads to talk about and that's the perfect recipe for a good series of Big Brother. I'm just worried it'll peter out in a couple of weeks after the biggest characters leave like Toya, Pauline and even Helen who I still think will have her pass revoked.

I'd say it was Helen who had come closest to saying the sort of violent things Conor did.
Ashleigh is more like Deana. Fighting back against the arseholes who dominate the house. Hopefully she can get Chris and Matthew on side over the next few days.

Oh I don't mind some arguing and bitching Jack I'm not totally against it happening and I even enjoy them sometimes  but the last few highlights for example have been a bit boring for me to watch due to the repetitive bitching mostly from Ashleigh and Danielle, I still am enjoying this serious atm but if it continues like that then I will no doubt go off it very fast, that's the reason I prefer Winston, Marlon, Jale and Ash over the likes of Danielle and Ashleigh because even thought they can be twats at times I think they generally just want to have some fun and a laugh in there.
I definitely think we need balance, some fun, laughs, arguing and bitching within reason.

Are you SERIOUS?:shocked::shocked: Ashleigh is NOTHING like Deana. Deana didn't sit and bitch and isolate herself from the rest of the house. She also fought her fights with whoever she needed to. Ashleigh is doing sweet damn all to either integrate with the group or confront Helen

Ashleigh just about brings the whole house down not just Danielle.
I cannot recall a more miseable housemate who contributes little and even nothing to the series whatsoever.
She is just a massive turn off for me.

Absolutely she is. She's shown determination in standing up against the house bully (Helen/Conor)
Deana didn't sit and bitch and isolate herself from the rest of the house.
It was mostly her, Luke A and Adam in the garden.
She also fought her fights with whoever she needed to. Ashleigh is doing sweet damn all to either integrate with the group or confront Helen
She has made it perfectly clear to Helen she can't stand her as Helen knows exactly where she stands. There's no point in confronting a person like Helen who flies of the handle and can even get to the point where she may become potentially violent (Matthew argument). Ashleigh has instead kept her wits about her and succeeded in getting Helen's closest comrade up for eviction.

She's the only reason Ash is up as Helen would have overpowered the other 4 had she not been there. And probably the only real resistance to Helen. That makes her one of the more interesting housemates.
The bores are the vulgar boys and sorry to say the Chris's.
