View Full Version : Has a good looking woman ever won Big Brother?

I can't ever recall a good looking woman winning. And by good looking, I don't mean Rachel or Josie standard but someone who is beautiful in the conventional way. (Not that I don't think Josie was ugly, let's not twist my words here).

It's really interesting that this is the case, don't you think?

Sophie Reade, I was also very weird as I liked her more when she piled on the pounds.:joker:

Cryandtelle had the trash look lol.

When she went in she was the conventional blonde pretty girl so she meets the OP requirements. Now she's had all the work done, not so much.

I don't find the Sophie Reade types attractive but they are the "conventional" ones.

I know some women liked Brian Dowling, Anthony Hutton, Pete Bennett, Aaron Allard-Morgan, Luke A, and Sam Evans.

So 6 guys that won were fancied by a considerable amount of women.

Brian Dowling? I don't remember any women fancying him or not alot anyway, he was my favourite Hm but it was because he was so funny. Luke A and Pete? no. that'd be the same as saying ofh some men fancied Josie and Rachel tbqh

Kate Lawler, Rachel Rice (boring but pretty), Sophie Reade, I think Josie had a very pretty face she aint a minger by any standards, Shilpa Shetty, Chantelle Houghton even Ulrika Johnson is a bit of a milf and was fit when she was younger even Charlotte Crosby is fairly pretty.

So I think you may have suffered a bit of amnesia OP lol there have been plenty of attractive female winners.

Good looking women have won but they've always been meek, mild, innocent naive, stupid, vacuous or very vulnerable. Nadia was obviously very fragile emotionally, Rachel was just a pleasant girl, Sophie was a dumb blonde (though I did love her), Josie was a bit of a tubster who people thought John James was giving a bit of a runaround.

The only exception might be Kate Lawler who won because people just wanted a girl to win that year and the other option was Jade. But she only became popular when she broke down and cried after losing her mates Alison and Spencer and spent 3 weeks on the poor side.

If you're headstrong and have a bit of saviness about you like Hazel last year and Ashleigh this year, you tend to gain support, but also a lot of detractors and get voted out.

As long as it is vote to evict a woman who displays strength will never win BB imo.

They only win when there are other circumstances. Kate won because of the hype of having *A* female winner (imagine if we had Anna and Alex as winners the world would be a much better place), Sophie let go of her appearance completely with her weight gain and messy, loose hair that was falling out, and we all know why Chantelle and Shilpa won.

There were more deemed attractive females that have won compared to males considering more men have won.

Females- Kate, Rachel, Sophie, Chantelle, Shilpa
Men- Craig (for some at the time), Anthony, Aaron.

Kate was a very strong, independent, athletic, tomboy girl who stood up to everyone she had a confrontation with in the house.

Miss Lawler.

She was feisty, stood up for herself, fun, rebellious, intelligent and had a temper.

I would say that Chantelle in CBB4 really did stand her ground considering she was the only complete unknown.

This. No-one wants to admit it but no-one (or not a lot of people) like/s like strong women; the attitude is that women should "know their place", whereas you can have arrogant...sorry I should've said strong men like Rex (the chef), victor, his mate jason or derek laud looking down their noses at people and generally throwing their weight around and no-one bats an eyelid.

I don't think she was all that independent. I recall her hanging on to Alison, then Spencer, then Johnny.

But I did make a possible exception in her case. I still think she won because people just wanted a girl to win that year and she was the best of the two options.

She didn't hang on to them their friendships were 100% just that.

She bonded with them, when Alison left she was devastated, pretty much the same with Spencer.

I don't think there will ever be another Kate.

Brilliant winner.

But that's partly why she won. Her mates kept getting evicted, she ended up on the poor side 3 weeks in a row and then the audience decided it was time for a female winner. There was nothing particularly special about her.

Danielle acts like a puritanical psychopathic witch hunter. A great example of Kimberly being a strong woman is when she had her talk with Marlon. Not only was she cool, calm and collected about it all, she didn't hold a grudge against him and was is very mature and NORMAL.

Brian was pretty poor as a presenter and that probably tainted a lot of peoples view on him, as a housemate he was about as good as they come he was fair friendly and just about the funniest guy you could ever get. I had reservations about him doing ultimate BB but he proved again how fantastic he was he really was great.

Its a shame he didnt manage to translate what he has into been host of BB because if he had he would be a ratings winner but it just didnt work for whatever reason.

Yeah, I agree with all of that. Things may have turned out different for him had Emma taken the live show first day and he did BOTs. I hate that it's kind of ruined the memory of how great a HM he was
