View Full Version : Ash What has he done that's so bad?
Firstly I know he was out of order saying those 2 comments to Jale, but he apologised and she accepted.
So other than that I don't get why he is loathed?
Even before those comments and I am talking since he walked in the door so it must have been based on his VT he has been hated and don't think it's all justified.
Is the guilty by association thing causing most of it?
Why do you hate Ash?
Because his personality is so fake and he is extremely arrogant

Why do you hate Ash?
Because he`s a boring arrogant ****head who doesn't care about anyone but himself.
Because his personality is so fake and he is extremely arrogant
In what way is his personality fake? I really don't think it is you know, I think he is just acting the way he always does.

I don't hate him, I just don't think he is very interesting - yet.
With this boost getting off tonight, things may change.

He's arrogance annoys me, especially how he considers himself as the definition of entertainment..
I think it is just on this forum where he gets a lot of the hate, his reaction tonight was a lot better then last week, I really do see this as a turning point for him and if he continues to just relax and not get involved in Helen's arguements he will make the final

Fair enough, the only arrogance I have seen though is his reactions to being nominated.
I personally think him, Marlon etc think they are the interesting ones because they have a bit of a laugh, mess around etc when others refuse to go in the pool, don't join in and seclude themselves.

He acts hard and trying to impress the "lads" all the time he was completely different in his VT and in the first days

He's worse than marlon for objectifying women for a start he's made a few lewd comments (wayhey) about kim and danielle. But the worst thing is attempting to transfer the blame for his bad behaviour onto helen, infering it's her influence that manipulates his actions.

I think all the housemates are a bit arrogant, but Ash is no way near the level of Marlon, and not a lot more than Winston
I don't actually mind him. I just wanted him out last week because he was Toya's best chance at staying. This week Christopher should have gone but obviously that won't happen with VTE so I wanted Ash out over Matthew--but once again that didn't happen.

Hmm I disagree with that Sam, I think he acts very like his VT tbh.
But fair enough if that's what you think.

I thought it was Marlon who made the worse comments about Kim? Am I confusing something?

From what I have seen its mostly Helen blaming herself for how the public have reacted to Ash hence why she kept saying she best stay away from him this week, I can't remember Ash ever saying Helen was at fault for his reaction

People can't really moan about him objectifying women when the entire show was centered around objectifying men for a week with the girl power task :idc:
Ash is just a pretty normal chilled out guy, hasn't done anything out of the ordinary at all, but it's only on the forums he isn't liked anyway, clearly the public don't mind him much

He lacks a personality and he's pretty much just an extension of Helen.

He doesn't though and has shown he has a personality and it being a laddish ones adds to his hatred imo.
TBF there were lad comments made about him on launch night before he even entered the house some people just don't like your typical lad type characters for some reason I guess.

this.. plus he's offensively crude (Marlon is worse though) and very arrogant and self absorbed.

Marlon took it too far yes but they were both in that convo, which ash initiated btw... and yet he wasn't even mentioned in the aftermath :/
He has more than once said he's been negatively influenced (meaning by helen) during chats with other hms, it's a bit spineless.
And that godawful manc accent!

He's a bland sexist bore. He does nothing of note, provides nothing to the show, and could easily be replaced with a cardboard cutout. Actually, I'd rather have a cardboard cutout because a cardboard cutout wouldn't be sexist. He's Kris Donnelly five years later - a smarmy, arrogant tool. He unironically sees good in Helen and gets mad at others for winding her up because he's blinded by her snatch. Like... he has negative charisma and has zero selling points. I know some people starting two weeks ago thought he was finally providing entertainment, but no. Getting yelled at by Toya doesn't meant you did anything worthwhile and deserve to stay. He's a twat.

Don't hate him but wouldn't really want to get to know him at all. Reasons I dislike him as a housemate, though:
- Pretty basic personality. Drinks, chats about sex, thinks that's entertainment.
- Derogatory comments (if he'd made just the one I'd forgive it for being a slip but he's made a handful now - "no sluts in here", "maggot", the pool thing - and I suspect they're the tip of a large, douchey iceberg)
- Getting the "lad" treatment on here, which is always reassuring that he's a bit of a crap nonentity.
- Numerous examples of arrogance (saying it'd be a joke if he were evicted, reactions to being nominated, pressuring Helen to save him)
Just not my sort of person really and given the usual TiBBlad hero status it's not really helping.
People can't really moan about him objectifying women when the entire show was centered around objectifying men for a week with the girl power task :idc:
Well, yeah, they can, because one's his views and one's the production team's silly homage to the Spice Girls, not his critics' desires.

I don't know why the "slut buckets" conversation was so offensive to people. It was just banter between 2 blokes. If you are a woman and don't consider yourself to be a "slut bucket" why get offended by 2 men who like women who do consider themselves to be "slut buckets"? Women and men have the right to be sluts if they choose to and other women and men have the right to like them

Define 'slut bucket'... What is the male equivalent of a 'slut bucket'?

I've never heard that phrase before this show, but the way I see that is that the woman is the bucket and the man is the slut...
